as we spy Mr. Owen overseeing the Junior Black Belt class as they work on their sparring skills. Mr. Owen worked his way from Tigers to an accomplished Third Dan Black Belt known for his adept sparring, so he has plenty of great advice for these young students. 🙌🥋👌

We have to wish a special Happy Birthday to our very own Master Gee!!! 🎉🎂👏

A martial artist his entire life, Master Gee is the centre point of our MGBBA Team, and oversees many aspects of the Dojo. Starting out as a Tiger student himself, Master Gee has accumulated decades of training and teaching knowledge. He has utilized his experience to become an top Instructor in his own right, being able to work with any of all of our students, whatever the age or skill level, and making sure everyone is on the right track.

A Fifth Dan Master Instructor, Master Gee has travelled internationally to train and learn from some of the best martial arts practitioners & Instructors from around the world. As well, he is known to be a fierce competitor, holding the CMAF Black Belt Sparring Championship for a record 8 years. Taking on the mantle of Master Gee, he will always be the first to step up to lead the way.

Our Dojo wouldn’t be the same without Master Gee’s hard work! 👏👏👏

Our popular martial arts tricking class MaTrix will be back in September, so keep your eyes peeled for our sign up list appearing in the MGBBA Dojo Foyer soon!

MaTrix combines martial arts, movement, creativity, teamwork, and a lot of high energy & fun altogether in one unique class. This is open to all Junior students Intermediate & above, so if you’re interested in trying something new and learning some fun skills, make sure to sign up for our Tryouts when our notices are up! ✅

Every Friday is Buddy Day!

Our MGBBA Referral Contest is on now, and all you need to do to enter is bring a friend to a class! Invite them to a Beginners or Tigers class, have them fill out the Buddy Day form, and then enjoy training martial arts together!

Each time you bring a friend, you’ll get one ticket entered into our contest. If they sign up for a Trial Membership, you’ll get 3 tickets, and if they sign up for a Full Membership, you’ll get 7 tickets!

If you’ve been training with us for any amount of time, you probably already know Ms. Daphne, one of our highest ranking & most experienced Black Belts at our Dojo. A fierce martial artist, Ms. Daphne has won multiple Provincial Sparring Championships, held seminars, and just recently graduated to her Fourth Dan Masters rank.

Ms. Daphne is known for her tough technical sparring style, determined work ethic, and the willingness to help any student she happens to be working with. Her insight & coaching is invaluable to our students, and our Dojo wouldn’t be the same without her! 🙌👏👊
