Burnaby Naginata
Official page of the Burnaby Naginata Club The weapon consists of a long wooden shaft, usually made of hardwood, to which the blade is attached.
A naginata is a traditional Japanese pole weapon, similar to a spear, but with a curved blade at
the end, resembling a halberd. The blade typically has a concave or curved shape, which makes it effective for sweeping and cutting in addition to thrusting. Today, it is practiced both as a traditional martial art and a sport, with competitions featuring various forms and techniques.
