🎉🎉2026 BC ATHLETICS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS ANNOUNCEMENT

BC Athletics is pleased to announce that the 2026 Cross Country Championships will be held in Nanoose Bay, BC on October 17, hosted by Nanaimo Track & Field Club and BC Athletics. The event will bring together athletes from across the province for a competitive day of cross country racing on Vancouver Island.

Please help make the 2026 BC Athletics Junior Development Pentathlon Championships a success. The event takes place June 13th at Burnaby Central Secondary School, and volunteer support is essential to running a safe and well-organized competition for JD athletes from across the province.

🎉2026 BC ATHLETICS JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PENTATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Junior Development Pentathlon is a fun, one day championship that lets young athletes try a variety of events and experience a full day of competition. Open to athletes born between 2013 and 2017, participants will take part in five different events throughout the day. Each performance earns points, which are added together to create an overall score and final placing. No previous pentathlon experience is necessary, just a willingness to try new events, challenge yourself, and enjoy competing with athletes from across the province.
