In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, sometimes simply having a sneaky entry to a technique is all you need to tap out a more skillful training partner.
I also believe that teaching techniques like this quirky entry into the ankle lock can help beginners to BJJ understand the ankle lock deeper and to see it from a different perspective.

Getting the triangle with your leg circling the outside of your partner's arm is started from overhooking your partner's arm. Next, control your partner's free hand by grabbing all 4 fingers; and then, pull their hand underneath your guard; so, you can get the triangle position.

One of the sneakiest armbars you can do. When someone has you in turtle, look to control one of their arms. The focal point is to control their upper arm as tightly as possible; doing this, keeps you safe from your partner winning back control on you; plus, it's the critical feature in hitting the figure 4 armbar.

Top turtle is a dominant position in BJJ; but, your partner can also be highly defensive in this position; thus, disallowing you from launching conventional attacks; so, the alternative is to go for an unconventional submission. Control your partner's right wrist with both your hands and deadlift up to flip your partner directly into an armbar.

With a collar/sleeve grip on your partner, use your foot to check your partner's bicep, when your partner fails to control your pant leg, you can now shoot your leg over their shoulder to get the triangle.
Personally, the kimura is my absolute favourite attack; but, it's not only a submission, it's a gateway to other techniques. As your partner looks to defend your kimura, throw your leg over their far shoulder to get into the triangle position.

Taking the back from the closed guard is an often neglected technique. Of course, no singular technique works all the time; so, if the back take fails; no problem, transition to a belly down armbar.

The puncher throws a straight left (1) and a straight right (2) combination. The pad holder feeds a (3) a left hook. The puncher defends the 3 by covering the side of his head with his right glove; and then, immediately fires a final 2 to finish the combination.

The puncher executes a straight left and a straight right combination. Now the pad holder feeds a (1) a straight left hand. The puncher lowers his head straight down (this is called a Duck) to defend; and then, finishes with a straight right hand (2).

The puncher starts this combination with a straight left (1) and a straight right (2). The pad holder comes in with a straight left hand (1). To defend, the puncher moves his head to the outside (slip right); and then, completes the combination with a right hook (4) to the body.

The puncher initiates this combination with a straight left (1). The pad holder feeds a straight right (2). The puncher moves his head outside to slip the punch; and then, follows up with a left hook (3). For this combination the 3 goes to the body; but, you also do the 3 as a head shot.
