While we're showing our appreciation to the people who make youth sports happen, let's hear it for all the refs and table officials. The coaches draw up the plays, and basketball officials are the ones who make sure the game on the floor happens fairly, safely, and with integrity. We're fortunate to have great refs from the Hamilton Board of Approved Basketball Officials and the Brant Norfolk Basketball Officials Association reffing our Huskies Rep games, and the Huskies table crew is equally professional. Whether you're on the whistle or on the clock, officiating isn’t an easy job. It takes thick skin, split-second focus, and a deep love of the game and youth athletes to put on the stripes. To every assignor, referee, crew chief, and table official who is working hard in gyms across Ontario this season, we say THANK YOU. Next time you see them out there, please make sure you do the same.
