Each season we add new players to Huskies rep teams. For some, it's their first experience at the rep level. For others, it's their first opportunity to wear the Huskies club colours. Regardless of where they started, these rookies quickly became valued members of the Pack.
The Huskies Rep Rookie of the Year Award recognizes a first-year Huskies rep player who rose to the challenges of the season and made an impact their team and the season. These athletes stood out and impressed their coaches through their commitment, work ethic, growth, perseverance, coachability, and the positive energy they brought on and off the court.
Awarded on a team-by-team basis, this honour recognizes the impact that first-year players can have from day one, their progress throughout the season. Your Rookies of the Year for 2025-26 are:
✅U15 Wolak – Dayton DeAngelis
✅U16 Hinzey – Evan McIntee
✅U16 Quinn – Kian Dawson
✅U17 Tindale – Garnet Russell
Congratulations to our 2025–2026 Huskies Rep Rookie of the Year recipients!

As that great American poet/philosopher Marshall Mathers once said... "Look who's back!" It's a gallery of familiar faces for your Ontario Cup POTG's for Team Tindale. Gavin Bomberry had a 15 PTS/10 REB double-double to start the tourney vs Pelham. Ben Tindale put up 21 PTS and 8 REB to pick up the game 2 honours vs Grimsby and Elijah Girolametto gets the card for game 3, (after hanging around the podium in the first two games) with 13 PTS and 14 REB vs Stratford. Great work, Huskies!

Congratulations to Team Tindale as the U17 Huskies finish their season with a win and some brass. Dajoh Dogs downed London Gold Medal 64-55 n Ottawa this morning, and now have a complete set of Ontario Cup medals after claiming silver in their U14 season, gold at U16, and now bronze at U17. Well done Huskies!

A Saturday split and the point differential was enough to keep the U17 Huskies in the hunt for some Ontario Cup brass tomorrow. Team Tindale post the game 2 win vs Grimsby, but then suffer their second loss of the tournament to Stratford. One more run Huskies, go get that medal!

A tough Friday loss for U17 Huskies to open their Ontario Cup 2026 in Ottawa. Huskies drop the opener to Pelham 51-55. Rest up and regroup Dajoh Dogs, two more tomorrow.

Team Tindale closes out the Huskies Rep season with the final Ontario Cup weekend this weekend in the nation's capital. The Dajoh Dogs have a slate of familiar foes for the pool round of O-Cup 2026 and their quest for B2B banners. Game 1 on Friday is a rematch of 2025's final vs Pelham Panthers, and Saturday's pool games see the Huskies taking on Grimsby and Stratford before championship Sunday. Time to lock in Huskies!

Impact players change the game, and we've got a pair of those players for your U16 Quinn Ontario Cup POTG's. Dartainan Gates leads off the Q-Dog honours with a big presence and a big game 1 vs BAYAN. Gates set the tone for the weekend for his team with his physical play and two way play. Coaches are always telling players to be ready to go when your number is called, and Maddox Quinn took those instructions to heart, and makes his Ontario Cup POTG debut vs Cooksville. #8 came into the game, and to put it politely, ruined the weekend for CKATT. Quinn came in late inthe game and gave the Huskies the go ahead bucket, and then drew the foul on the next one, and made his pair of FTs to seal the deal for the Dogs. It's a fitting team honours for the final, as this squad goes from bronze to gold in just twelve months with their championship win vs Scarborough Blues . Congrats Q-Dogs!

Congratulations to Team Hinzey's POTG's from Ontario Cup 2026, and it's a familiar gallery from the final weekend. Jasiah Amponsah gets the spotlight from the opener vs RSB. Nerraud Thomas notched yet another double-double in game 2 vs St. Thomas. Daniel Kenney has a knack of giving his team what they need in clutch situations and picks up the patch vs Eastern Earthquakes. #0 Kalem Marshall is one of the hardest working Huskies in the biz and is the final POTG of the season for Team Hinzey.

It was a total team effort from Team Wolak this weekend, with some stand out performances on the way to their debut season bronze medal. Congratulations to the 2026 Ontario Cup POTGs from Team Wolak, and it's co-POTGs across the board to close out the season for the U15's. Dayton DeAngelis and Thomas Heming share the game 1 honours, and Heming is back in game 2, this time with Logan Gates. Ben Makanjuola gets the stars in the bronze medal game, along with #32 who is back for his second card of the championship tournament. Well done Huskies!
