2020 Basenji Club of Canada National Specialty

Today was going to be the first day of the Basenji Nationals.... Next year, we will make it happen with double the love. For now, let’s give our Basenjis a big smooch (or treat, or a nod, whatever yours allows...).

Update: The 2020 BCOC National Specialty is cancelled. We are sad but also know this is for the best. The silver lining is that we are already thinking about 2021 to make the event twice as fun. We hope you and your Basenjis are staying healthy and safe.

Life goes on during the COVID-19 but let's face it, things are not the same. Here's how my Basenji makes things better during this strange time. Share your thoughts about your Basenji!

Update: So far, Erie Shores and the Basenji Nationals on June 5-8 are STILL A "GO." Remember that the National and Obedience/Rally events will take place indoors, in a newly renovated (and climate controlled) event centre. The centre is on the banks of the beautiful Grand River, with many places to get fresh air and to go for walks. Camp grounds are almost full. Will keep you updated if anything changes. Stay safe.

Last Saturday, one of our planning committee members had her daughter in the junior ring at the Wildwood Kennel Club Dog Show in Woodstock, ON!
