It's time to say goodbye 👋🏾
It's my last day in the office here in Calgary and the year has flown by!
I was here exactly 8 years ago as a graduate and never thought I'd be coming back.
As soon as I got that call from my previous manager asking if I could help out for a year, I didn't even hesitate to say yes.
It was an easy decision when someone believes that you're the right person for the job. It makes a huge difference.
Remember those people that speak positively about you, when you're not in the room. Those are the people that back you when you need it the most.
There's only so much you can do as an interim manager in a year, and I wish I had more time, but I'm sure the team is moving in the right direction and in a better place.
It has been an amazing experience managing the IT operations of 1500 sites that generate $millions per day.
Thank you 🇨🇦. It was pleasure and a place I called home for 2 years in my career. I wish the team all the best. Maybe I'll be back in 8 years. Now onto the next chapter in my journey!

🌟 Ready to Unlock Your Potential and Transform Your Career?
Starting a new role or joining a new organisation can be daunting. We often feel like outsiders, struggling to grasp the business lingo or understand our role in the bigger picture.
I've been there too. In my graduate role, I was thrown into unfamiliar territory. But then, I realised something crucial - it's about tapping into our unique SUPERPOWERS. My strengths? Data-driven analysis, process optimisation, and creative solution-finding.
By focusing on these strengths, I began to see the pain points of my stakeholders more clearly. This allowed me to be a facilitator, blending learning with contributing, and using my skills to bring real value.
This journey is what inspired 'Pathway to Potential.' It's all about discovering and leveraging your innate strengths to make a mark, no matter the industry.
What are your superpowers? Drop them in the comments and let's discuss how you can use them to fuel your career growth! 👇🏽

It's all about empathy!
Last week I wore a menovest for an hour whilst working to experience what women go through during menopause.
One of my team members is raising awareness around this and I volunteered to show her my support.
As a manager, having women team members, I didn't know what women go through in the workplace when reaching a certain age.
This experience certainly put me 'in their shoes' for a very short period of time with a fraction of the side effects! And it was difficult to work! The unpredictability of hot flushes throws you off and it plays in the back of your mind the whole time.
To become a better leader, I need to get a feel of what people go through to serve them better.
