ITF Taekwondo starting Up again September 3, 2020. 6-645 & 7-8pm. Tuesday and Thursday nights. Running September through the end of June.
Operating as usual
A photo I took a few years back. It’s February so I thought we could “Crane” together. See everyone on zoom.
Just information for everyone.
Only one-on-one training is permitted for indoor fitness activities (e.g. fitness in dance studios, training figure skating on ice, one-on-one lessons).
One-on-one sessions cannot interact with others and there must be a minimum of three metres distance between sessions in the same facility.
Sessions have to be scheduled or by appointment.
No drop-in for individuals or groups is allowed.
No sports games, competitions, team practice, league play or group exercise of any kind.
Trainers must be professional, certified and/or paid trainers who are providing active instruction and correction. Passive supervision of a physical activity is not considered training.
Trainers should remain masked during the session; clients are not required to wear a mask while exercising.
More than one trainer and client ‘pair’ are allowed into the facility, studio, rink, court, pool, ice surface, etc., as long as:
Each trainer and client stays three metres away from all other trainers and clients at all times, including in entryways and exits.
Each trainer only interacts with their assigned client, and each client only interacts with their assigned trainer.
No interaction between clients or between trainers is allowed.
No ‘cycling through’ multiple trainers, as in circuit training.
[01/29/21] So with today’s announcement it seems if you run a fitness program out of a community centre we don’t fall under option one. We will have to wait 3-4 weeks and see. Zoom for February. Fingers crossed in person March.
This little one nailed her testing today before her Zoom class. Absolutely proud of all our students and their families for the support to the students and to us. First month of Zoom a successful month. See everyone Tuesday. We will come out of this stronger.
School is back in person learning. Either online or in person it is never okay to bully anyone.
Tomorrow is a new day. Put things aside and move towards the light. Good people together make great accomplishments. Nothing is Free in life, let’s train hard and move forward towards our goals together.

What a beautiful gift we just received. Thank you so much Zoey and family. Helen Alderson.
Merry Christmas 🎄.
On behalf of the Polar, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in 2020. There's no doubt that this has been a challenging year in so many different ways for every one of us. But the Christmas message reminds us that hope is always present, even in the darkest seasons of life. So to all of you, our wishes for a safe Christmas and a Happy New Year that's so much better than 2020!
[12/23/20] That was a lot of snow ⛄️. Hopefully everyone had a great safe day. Help thy neighbor if you can.
[12/21/20] “Let your unique awesomeness and positive energy inspire confidence in others.” “Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.” “If you want light to come into your life, you need to stand where it is shining.” “Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.”
Out dropping off gifts to all our students today. Hopefully putting a smile on everyone’s faces. Merry Christmas
[12/16/20] Loading up the vehicle with all the donations of winter coats and stuff to drop off tomorrow morning for those in need. I want to thank everyone that has dropped off stuff. It maybe 2 or three loads to deliver.
Just a little wave to make sure everyone is okay and staying safe under these times. Anyone that needs to talk I am always available. These time are hard on everyone. I can admit that we have had some bad days. But I can also say that tomorrow brings on new one. We have to make the best of every day. Missing my students and their families.
Christmas is coming and we have some swag.
We are still collecting winter coats, sleeping bags, sweaters, toques, mitts, toiletries, socks, underwear....
For the homeless as the temperatures drop and the numbers have risen.
Pm for drop off details.
Thank you for your kindness.
Here looking up for a wonderful December. A wonderful and merry Christmas and a joyful New Year’s. Things we look forward to this December. Show kindness, show humility, and be caring. Help those in need no small things go unnoticed.
Another dark day not just for us but for all the small clubs that are being affected.
To all my students please check your emails. We will get through this.
Missing my students and really hoping that the news coming down tomorrow on restriction allows use back to classes as they have stated we where not the problem. Fingers crossed my Polar club.
[11/13/20] So it seems the government has shut us down for two weeks. Please see email for details.
The government is being pressured towards lock down again. Please everyone do their best to stay healthy. Washing your hands and avoid touching your face is one of the biggest yet easiest things to do. Cough into your elbow and not out into the open air. If you feel sick stay home. If we can just do these simple things lock down is not needed. Stay safe everyone.
Myself and my daughter have just signed up for a campout for youth homelessness in Kamloops December 11th. There is a pledge sheet I have to figure out how to post. I also checked to see if any other things where needed. Jackets in good condition or new, warm clothes, a couple sleeping bags, small tents, socks, long underwear, mitts, toques. Looking to fill my car to the brim and bring some south Calgary love to those in need. Anything that won’t fit I’ll get it down to the mustard seed or similar here in town. Pm me if your able to help and can arrange pickup or drop off. Thank you everyone in advance.
