The Calgary Minor Soccer Association is mourning the loss of Bereke Merhawi, a player with Titans and a valued member of our soccer community.
 
We extend our deepest condolences to Bereke’s family, friends, teammates, and the entire Spartans community.
 
This weekend at the Shane Homes Challenge Cup, matches featuring the Spartans FCA Titans will observe a moment of silence in honour of Bereke. Those wishing to support Bereke’s family during this time can find a GoFundMe link in our bio.

Dear Umoja friends, there is a single mother with 3 children who we are trying to urgently assist. She is new to Canada and due to unforeseen circumstances desperately needs the following:

- washing machine and dryer (in good working condition - she currently washes everything by hand)
- winter gear for an 18 year-old boy, 15 year-old girl, 13 year-old girl and the mom herself.
- bed (mattress and frame - the boy is currently sleeping on the floor)

Kids clothing and shoes sizes are:
Boy: large and 42 shoe size
Girls: medium and 32-33 shoe size
