You are only deceiving yourself..
Be honest with yourself and be honest on IG. People are smarter than you think. When untruths are sniffed out, they begin to talk behind your back.
Post the division you actually won. If it’s Master or Intermediate, it’s still impressive.
If you compete in multiple divisions, avoid the temptation of posting highlights of your Advanced division matches that you lost in, but then posting the picture of you on the podium from the Intermediate division you won.
After an unsuccessful run in your division, avoid posting about your injuries. It takes away from your opponents’ victory and casts doubt on your decision to compete. Additionally, absolutely zero people actually care about your hurt knee or sore back.
Honesty compounds like interest in a bank account. It might feel risky or painful in the moment, but it creates a life of stronger relationships, clearer mind, real confidence, and lasting success.
The ancient wisdom holds up: “The truth shall set you free.”

The JR organization placed first overall!
Thank you to our Black Belt coaches who showed up and had a massive impact on the athletes competing Clay Davidson, Jeff Diesmo, Morne, Mark Reinhart and Jeremy!
This was the largest Jiu-Jitsu promotion to ever visit Cowtown. The Calgary community showed that Alberta is becoming the top Jiu-Jitsu province in the country!

Rocky has hosted some of the top JiuJitsu athletes in the world, but nobody has done as much in combat sports as Bibiano Fernandes
In addition to showing us his impressive techniques, Bibiano shared his mindset towards competition, how to deal with distractions, and what’s required to win at the highest levels. The time spent with Mr. Fernandes was invaluable, especially for the “I don’t teach moves, I teach concepts” crowd.”
If you’re in Vancouver be sure to stop by
Thanks to for making this happen and to for lining everything up!
