Stamps made a few decent splashes in free agency today.

Biggest has to be this one tho.

In a “win-now” league and era, the Stamps cannot afford to have Jake Maier be average or slightly above average.
Not having competition last season really allowed Jake to be comfortable because he knew he couldn’t be replaced.

It’ll be interesting to see how he fairs in the summer and if Dickenson has a much shorter leash on him with a QB who can potentially win with the Stamps.

It is with great sadness the Calgary Stampeders learn of the death of Bruce Covernton.

“Quick-witted and big-hearted, Bruce was a larger-than-life personality,” said Stampeders president Jay McNeil, who was one of Covernton’s offensive line colleagues during his playing days. “He was a great teammate, a great friend and, more importantly, he had a giant heart for people in need. He will be missed by many. We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”

Looks like Huff is nearing retirement which will end a very successful era in Calgary.

Glad he’s staying on for a bit longer!

We didn’t expect to even make the playoffs, but it always sucks when the season officially comes to an end.

One of the worst seasons in the last 20ish years is now behind us and we can look forward to 2024.
