𤯠still blown away when I look at pictures like thisā¦
I did thatā¦I. Did. That.
And quite simply? You can too. I get that some people might scoff at others with weight loss goals, but Iām here to tell you that there is nothing wrong with those goals. When all the research out there tells us about the risks of being overweight and āfuellingā your body with lower quality food, there is no shame in wanting to treat your body better. And wanting to feel better.
And the best thing? You donāt have to be extreme.
Sure, there are going to be some changes (change is good!), and new experiences, and days that are HARD. Kind of like real life š¤The feeling on the other side though? Worth it.
And Iām here all along the way. Thatās also a great thing as long as you lean into it šŖš¾

I love to learn, help others, and I love to teach too! Itās part of the reason why I made the recent leap back into nursing education.
I particularly love adult education (kudos to you grade school teachers cuz you are the REAL MVPs). I enjoy the fact that I can teach and have great conversation and even debates. I adore being able to provide resources and then know that if they are motivated to learn the learners will take full advantage of everything at their disposal.
Itās actually one of the best parts of growing my coaching team too - Iām there for my team members as they get going to give tips and info and point them in the right direction. Then they get their wings and fly to find their way with my support and our teams resources all along the way. Ultimately though, their success lies in their own hands. And they learn itās worth every second of effort.

Wanna know one of my fave memory tools? Acronyms! I donāt know why but I love to come up with themā¦probably nursing with the gazillion acronyms tbh
Today as I was thinking gratefully about my journey and all the people who ask how I stay so consistent and show up for my workouts every day, I thought of one that represents the things that have helped me - and I believe will help you too!
Itās C.R.A.M.
āCā is for community - im not sure how far I would have gotten had I not leaned into the coach community early on. You need this people around you who will unconditionally support your journey
āRā is resources. While some people are overwhelmed by the massive (and I mean MASSIVE) amount of info and workouts in our library, having access to resources that guide you through every bump you might encounter is important. Thatās how we build consistency by knowing that we can pivot within our given plan to continue to reach our goals.
āAā is for accountability. Similar but not really to community. Have someone that you commit to check in with. Someone who can cheer you on, someone who can guide you, and be there through every up and down that is inevitable on this journey. Like a coach or something š
āMā is for mindset. This should really be at the top of the acronym but sometimes you have to sacrifice flow to make it memorable! While many people will say to me, I just need a workout or meal plan to stick to, what they actually need is to figure out why their mindset is not letting them stick to a plan. This could be a whole post (book) on its own so we will just leave it thereā¦
All that to sayā¦.there is no one thing that is going to help you be successful. You have to take everything into consideration, be willing to LEARN (not fail) forward, and build a habit that fits you.

What do you have planned for your Bible reading this year? Iād love to hear about the resources youāre using!
Iāve decided to do the Bible study from this year as the major backbone and add in smaller devotions along the way. This study focuses on one book per week with questions to help you delve into each book and how it applies in our lives.
My problem? I always get hung up in the Old Testament . So Iāve chunked out the study to go back and forth between OT & NT (swipe to see the split).

Are you an adventurous eater? š±
I have never been known to be very open to new foods until I reached adulthood. Switching over to 100% plant based foods has expanded my horizons even more.
Like this tempeh - I donāt think I ever would have tried it and this week I found a marinade that will surely stay in regular rotation! Plus tempeh is a fermented food which is great for gut health.

Know why Iām looking at you like that?
Cuz I already know you are going to make excuses. Youāre going to try to find a way to not commit to yourself again as the holidays approach. I know, because I was you.
So Iām here to tell you that they are not valid, lol.
This week will mark my 8th coaching anniversary. Yep. I started right in the thick of the holidays.
I didnāt start coaching for others, I started for me. For the community, support, accountability and well tbh, the discount š¤£
I knew food and goodies abound at this time of year BUT I also knew that I wanted to feel better and be better for me and my kids. I knew that even if I committed to my journey imperfectly over the holidays, it was better than doing nothing at all.
And you know what? It was definitely imperfect but I gained traction. I still remember that after committing to my coachās group that winter, I lost 5 lbs. it wasnāt a lot but enough to know I had found where I needed to be to get the results I wanted. And I never looked back.
