The Olympic Oval is working hard to ensure the 2024/2025 season is ready. However, due to extenuating circumstances, the ice installation must be delayed by one week. This delay will give the Operations team enough time to ensure the highest quality ice for the upcoming season.

We understand that this delay may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. Our new ice-in date is Monday, July 29th, 2024.

Due to the State of Local Emergency currently in effect (a critical water main break impacting water availability throughout the city), the Olympic Oval and the University of Calgary are working alongside the City of Calgary to delay ice-in to align with the water restrictions. The Oval is confident this will not have a significant impact on training or the 2024/2025 season. Our teams are still preparing for ice-in, and once we have a green light to proceed, the Olympic Oval will install the ice approximately one week later than scheduled.

Please stay tuned for updates.
