Calgary is growing, and recreation space needs to grow with it.

Last year, Westside offered over 8,700 programs and welcomed nearly 80,000 participants in drop-in and registered activities.

Our proposed fieldhouse would add indoor turf and multi-sport courts, giving us more room to welcome you, your family, and your team throughout the year.

Whether you’re signing your child up for a program or fitting a weekly game into your schedule, more space would make it easier to take part in the activities you enjoy year-round.

Imagine more room to learn, play and grow at Westside.

We anticipate approximately 1.1 million visits this year, and with many spaces operating at or near capacity, our proposed expansion would nearly double the size of Westside.

The expansion will create more opportunities for swimming, field sports, outdoor recreation and skating, and will help us welcome more participants and meet our community’s growing needs.

Our planned expansion is about more than adding square footage. It is about creating more opportunities for our community.

More children will be able to learn to swim. More teams will be able to take the field. More athletes will be able to step onto the ice. More families will have space to stay active and spend time together.
