We’re excited to share Westside’s $180 million-plus expansion game plan, designed to meet Calgary’s growing demand for recreation space.

The expansion will add approximately 180,000 square feet and nearly double the size of our facility, creating more room for aquatic recreation, swimming lessons, indoor field sports, multi-sport activities, hockey, and community connection.

With 1.1 million projected visits in 2026, Westside's need for additional space continues to grow.

Westside has lots of swim lessons for ages 3-17 in the fall and they're filling up fast!

All Sport One Day is back at Westside on Saturday, August 15th! This free event gives children and youth the chance to try out a new sport in a fun environment!

From now until August 22nd, we are also collecting donations of any sports equipment! All equipment will go directly to KidSport and Flames Sport Bank to support local families.

National Drowning Prevention Week starts on Sunday, and our Aquatics team has lots of activities planned!
