Hello Shock Hockey Community. To better share information and bring our communities together we will be merging the Shock Hockey Group with the P3 Facebook Group on Friday, January 11.

With the completion of the Bantam/Midget Camp last night we have officially finished our Prep Camps for the 2018 Season! Good luck to the remaining Shock players in tryouts!

Don’t hesitate to bring a teammate or two, as hockey is always more fun with a few friends.

With the completion of our Prep Camps we thought it was fitting to share a testimonial from one of our parents... Hello, Families;

Now that our calendars are all finalized for December, I'd like to remind you of our Power'n Performance camp that is featuring Aaron Konescni of AK Hockey. Aaron has a very impressive resume, and few others are able to match is capabilities, connections with young hockey players. Having worked with him before, I'm confident you will appreciate the value in his instruction as much as I do. If you've got the time available on December 16-17-18, this will be a great development opportunity to take part in. This camp is open to all ages and skill levels.

This camp will also provide goalies with dedicated instruction as Aaron works with the skaters, merging the them for games intermittently. Goalie instructor is yet to be announced.

Hello, Families. All of us have been touched by the economic downturn in Alberta in one way or another. I myself have been fortunate enough to have survived so far, but like many others, I'm looking at a definite end to my current role within the foreseeable future.

Employment rates continue to drop in the province, but I think we all are holding our breath as the price of oil begins it's slow climb back through $50. Of course there are many factors at play, but this message is a request for you to connect to the link below and take 30 seconds to fill in the petition. This petition is in support of Phase 2 of the Sturgeon Refinery, where Phase 1 employed well over 1,000 people in Calgary, has peaked at over 7,500 people at the job site, and thousands more in Alberta and neighboring provinces in off-site fabrications, technical services, and other supporting requirements.

By filling in your postal code, a message will be directed to your local MLA, with the following core message:

1. Phase 2 should be supported because we need to refine more of our oilsands bitumen at home.

2. Phase 2 will employ thousands of skilled tradespeople and engineering professionals for several years, hundreds in ongoing operations and maintenance once it is built, and thousands more every time it shuts down for regular intensive maintenance.

3. The payroll for Phase 2 will be an enormous boost to Alberta’s economy. And international sale of its products will maximize returns to Albertans.

4. The Sturgeon Refinery will capture all of the CO2 produced in its processes. Its diesel product will deliver up to 30% better fuel efficiency than gasoline. Shipped by sea, in the event of a tanker spill, its products will be far less potentially harmful to marine life than raw bitumen.
