We had a blast at Langdon Days! It was a super hot day but even so, lots of people braved the sun to come out for some fun. Harry and Rogue were a big hit. Noone could pass by without a horse cuddle. Harry was a champ for his first ever event and Rogue was soaking up the attention, hanging out along the fence so that multiple kids could pet/brush her at the same time. Lots of people checked out our booth as well. Overall a great time and we are thrilled we (both humans and equines) could be a part of it! Langdon, Alberta - The Good Luck Town

We are gearing up for our next event! Come visit us at Langdon Days this Saturday (July 20th). We will have halters, collars, leashes and more and as a bonus, we are even planning to have a live model or 2 there! Also if you want to rock the crazy unicorn Mohawk look like Harry, we won't judge!

What's the best way to product test halters? Some untouched weanlings of course!
Last year we were lucky enough to take part in a weanling challenge. These 20 wild, unhandled yearlings were NOT gentle on their new halters, as they learned how to stand tied, lead, give to pressure, etc. But after several months of working with them, they each learned to be respectful citizens handling everything from grooming to trailering, to leading through obstacles. Each of the horses went on to find a great home and the halters live to see another day (and maybe even, another weanling challenge).

Our newest model, Gypsy showing off her fancy new halter. This was a custom order and I love how perfectly is suits her. The black base on the black horse really makes that noseband pop and draws everyone's attention to that super-cute face!

You've seen us go big with our draft halters, so it was high time we scaled back and tried something a bit smaller ... you could even say something miniature. Here we have our first custom-made miniature halter. It may be small in size but it's big in personality, just like it's model. Harry Trotter has joined our herd and needed his very own halter. He needs something sturdy to keep up with his magical adventures to come. Of course it was only fitting to have it in the Gryffindor house colours! And for some extra fun, it even has his name on the noseband. Can't wait to see what sort of shenanigans the little wizard gets up to.

The adorable Scooby showing off his new colours. He has the full-on model look with his mane flowing in the wind. That teal and blue sure does pop with his bay colouring. He will be drawing eyes all summer long both at the barn and out at barrel races!

Beautiful Bella showing off her fancy new halter. This girl has done it all, from gymkhanas, to trail riding, to reining, and even dressage. At 25 years young, she has helped 3 generations learn the love of the sport and she still puts her heart into every ride. What's even cooler, her human won this halter because of his awesome sportsmanship and horsemanship. A huge thanks to Vintage & Vines Country Market for sponsoring this prize!

So far we have posted photos of finished projects. It was high time we show a snapshot of the process of how the magic happens. Each piece is hand-made with love - from picking colours and patterns we think will go nicely together, to tying and tightening each knot, to back-weaving the ends for a stronger finish. We aim to create products that are functional, durable, and personalizable. These pictures show a glimpse of the process of making one of our larger size dog collars. We are also lucky enough to be using a custom loom, hand-made by a friend to accommodate the longer collars.

We are sizing up the fun with our latest custom order. These handsome boys, Digger and Dan are showing off their new custom made halters. These two are well matched as a wagon team and now they have some nicely matched halters too. I love the purple on these boys!

All this knot-tying leaves us with plenty of short lengths of paracord. We try to waste as little of our rope as possible. What better way to use up small lengths than making keychains? A great way to reduce waste and make some fun accessories. What other fun ways should we use out leftover paracord?

Every time a box arrives we still get excited like it's Christmas! Our paracord restock came in early in January and yesterday our rope arrived. If you look closely you may see hints of a few new things coming for 2024!

Happy New Years everyone. It has been a little while since our last post. We worked very hard through the end of 2023 making as much stock as possible to prepare for markets and Christmas sales. We then took a bit of a break and spent the holidays focussing on friends, family, and spending time with our own horses. Now we are back and excited for what 2024 has in store! We are in the process of doing a big restock of rope, paracord, and hardware. We also have plans for a few new items that will be added to our inventory for 2024! While we wait for our rope order to arrive, check out the spectrum of halter colours we used in 2023!
