Training in a Canadian winter takes sacrifice. The cold bites, the snow piles high and the easy choice would be to wait for spring.
But we do not wait.
We train indoors when we can. And when the forecast promises even a hint of warmth, we are out there with shovels in hand, clearing snow so the sun can finish the job. Not for comfort. Not for convenience. For the chance to step onto that field and keep going.
It is hard work. It is long days, frozen fingers, and earned progress.
Our dedication shows in our results. In the way the dogs we train grow, improve, and shine. Their progress reflects the time, the effort, and the love we pour into this sport every single day.
We do it because we love training dogs. We believe in our partners amd in our team We believe in our sport. And nothing, not winter, not snow, not the cold ever stops true dedication.
Winter builds champions. ❄️🏆🐕

Training French Ring is our thing.
We love it, we are good at it, and our dogs absolutely shine.
🧐 Where are we going with this one?
As always, we are mixing it up.
We believe the best dogs are thinking dogs.
So yes, we train hard… and then we throw in curveballs and new challenges.
Different pictures and fresh problems to solve.
Because a dog that never gets bored is a dog that stays sharp, confident, and ready for anything.
Same standards.
Same intensity.
Just way more fun. 🔥
Our SPEX Canada Ring Sport Club President and CRA President speaking on French Ring.
French Ring Sport: A Century of Precision, Power & Control 🇫🇷🐕
French Ring has been around for nearly 100 years! 100 years!! Think about that for a moment!!
Starting in France in the early 1900s as a way to test and select working dogs for breeding. Today, it has evolved into one of the most technical and challenging protection dog sports in the world.
What makes French Ring unique?
Origins: Designed to evaluate top working breeds like Malinois, GSDs, Boxers, and Beaucerons for temperament, trainability, and athletic ability.
3 Disciplines, One Non-stop Routine:
🔺Obedience – off-leash precision with no body cues or handler help
🔺Jumping – 3 insane jumps: hurdle, a wall climb, and massive broad jump
🔺Protection – controlled, technical work against a skilled decoy who is doing everything to outsmart your dog
Always Changing: Except for the entry-level Brevet, every competition changes the order and setup of exercises, so dogs must think, adapt, and stay sharp. Absolute raw adaptability.
Global Sport: Brought to North America in approx 1986 and governed by Ringsport Associations in Canada, Mexico and the US under the guidance of France’s SCC.
🏆French Ring is not just a dogsport. It is a century old legacy of courage, control, and world-class teamwork.
It demands precision, dedication, and serious heart from both dog, handler and decoy.
A true masterpiece of dogsport, built on grit and elite partnership.
