Chickens lay eggs. šš„
Youād be surprised how many kids have never actually seen where their food comes from.
Today at the farmerās market, I brought a chicken so kids could see that eggs donāt come from a grocery store shelfā¦ they come from hens. Brown chickens lay brown eggs, and teaching the next generation where food comes from matters more than ever.
The disconnect between people and their food is real. So if one chicken at a farmerās market sparks curiosity, questions, and learningā¦ Iām all for it.
