Tune into Cue Sports Live for the last final day of the first edition of the Len Sbitney Memorial, a tournament to honour a true icon of the game!
Len was a true legend of the local pool community, and without his support, the Alberta Billiards & Snooker Association never would have come to fruition. His quintessentially old school pool hall Leather Pocket Billiards was, for many years, one of the few remaining places to play snooker around these parts and without his dedication to the promotion of cue sports in general, we never would had an excellent four years of ranking tournaments in his venue and elsewhere around the province.
Special thanks to Ben Francis, Larry Walper, Stephanie Toy and all the others involved in organizing the largest event ever held at Leather Pocket Billiards.
The bracket for the tournament can be found on Challonge at this link: https://challonge.com/32ewcrqz

R.I.P. Dan Scullion
Our community is heartbroken to hear of the passing of Dan Scullion, a true hero of the cue sports community in Alberta and all across this country.
Dan was a tremendous coach and player who introduced the game to many generations of Alberta's greatest players across many disciplines. His tenure at the helm of the the Alberta Billiards & Snooker Association saw the rise of national champions and world-class players from this part of Canada. His efforts to promote and build the game were unmatched, as was his ability to help others see the joy in playing it. These few words cannot begin to express how he alone brought this sport to life over many decades and across generations.
A great loss for the cue sports community and the single greatest influence on developing and promoting snooker in Alberta, Dan Scullion will be sadly missed by all who knew him and his undying love for billiard sports will live on in the hearts of all those who love the game.
