Apollo is the full package. This flashy and kind hearted boy has been there, done that. He has been loved by the same owner for the majority of his life. In his later years, Apollo has transitioned from mid-level show jumping to a lesson/lease horse for all ages looking for a step-up ride. Apollo has exceptional ground manners, often falling asleep while his favorite kids brush and braid him. He loads, baths, stands for farrier/vet with absolutely no vices. Apollo is a dream to hack under saddle, is amazing on trails and has even joined in on a mock hunt with the Calgary Hunt Club. Apollo can be very scopey when put together properly, he does have an energetic side to him with a deceptively large stride when asked to “kick it in gear”. He truly loves his job! Currently jumping 2’6”-2’9”. Apollo would be a perfect mount for someone looking for a flashy mount in low level dressage, aconfident junior/amateur looking for a competitive partner to step up in low level jumpers or someone looking for a trusty steed on the trails. Minimal maintenance required; will share details with interested parties.

Two organizations, one booth, and a whole lot of passion for horses. ❤️

Next Generation Equestrian offers an inclusive riding program for everyone from beginners to show jumpers, along with flat, equitation and pleasure riders. Their focus is on developing confident riders, strong horsemanship skills, and providing opportunities for all levels at an affordable rate.

Sharing the booth is Alberta Thoroughbred Aftercare Society, a registered charity dedicated to Alberta racehorses after their racing careers end. Through rehabilitation, retraining, rehoming and sanctuary, they help Thoroughbreds transition into their next chapter while ensuring each horse receives the care, safety and dignity they deserve.

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to develop your riding skills or want to learn more about giving retired racehorses a second career, make sure you stop by their booth and say hello!

It’s been a quiet season for us as Deanna Paton gets back into the swing of things after having the newest member of the NGE family back in March! We have been at home lessoning, training and enjoying a quieter summer.

But September is coming and we will be back in the full swing of things!

Some new lesson spaces will be added to the schedule so keep an eye out! 🥰

Scout! What a dude! This boy has helped many of our riders gain confidence and become better riders! As he retires from our program we wish him all the best with all the love and hugs and kisses! Thanks for keeping us on our toes Scouty! We love you! Enjoy all the grass and cuddles!

Happy Retirement Mrs.Potts

Today, this awesome pony went home to spend her days munching on snacks and being loved. We already miss her! Thank you Mrs Potts for being such a wonderful teacher to so many of our kids! Happy Retirement, you deserve the best! You are the queen!

What an awesome weekend of firsts for our team at the paramount show.

Both “Harvard” and “Snickers” attended their first show this weekend! Both were spectacular!

“Harvard” spent the weekend taking in all the aspects of his 3rd career and while a tad overwhelmed at times, did a great job of trying to be the best boy! He’s happy to be home in his pen tonight and we are all proud of him!

“Snickers” in true “snickers fashion“ rolled with the game plan on Saturday. She wasn’t sure why she was woken up by her kiddo at 6 in the morning, then asked to get in the strange metal box on wheels but that’s what was happening and her Bestie “Mrs. Potts” came along for emotional support and to cheer her on. “Snickers” got off the trailer, went in the ring as if she had done it 1 million times and her and her kiddo picked up some pretty ribbons, she got lots of pets and was brought home. So all in all a great day according to “Snicks”.

I’m super proud of the team. The girls at the show, the horses and the teammates that came to cheer their friends on at 8am. What Sportsmanship we have here!

It’s expected to be a quiet season for us this year with my personal life being run by the new 12week old “Tiny Boss” but we will likely be back at it in Aug! See you all then!

DISCIPLINE: dressage/jumping up to 3’

“Tex” is a 22 year old Dutch warmblood who still thinks he’s young and loves his job. “Tex” is available for half lease with 3 rides per week. He can either flat or jump, whatever your intrest is. He is boarded inside and comes with all of his own equipment. This impressive boy will absolutely melt your heart!

“Tex” wonderful, big moving boy and still has energy. He is best suited for a JA or AA rider or someone with previous riding experience. He loves Flatwork/Dressage as well as Jumping. He is located 20 min SW of the city at a beautiful facility in millarville with 2 outdoor arenas, 1500 acres of trails, and a massive indoor arena.

*Tex is in our program so leaser must take a minimum 1 lesson a week (Flat or Jumping).
