It’s not every day you get a Thursday off work where you can go to a local magazine shop to buy the latest issue of - especially when you’ve been invited to contribute to an article discussing the future of rugby.

It’s not exactly my own magazine cover but I’ll take it!

You’ve come a long way from a 17 year old kid that didn’t even start for your high school team - and now you’re representing your country on the international stage. So proud of the work you’ve done and looking forward to seeing more!

The first time I met these two in person was in 2013 when they were in Philadelphia with the New Zealand Maori All Blacks. They are largely responsible for jump starting my rugby analytics journey.

Now, 9 years later we are reunited in London. Both are current leaders in their respective elite environments yet still find time to meet up for a coffee. So grateful that they took a chance to help out a random nerd from Canada.

Fun fact: The first time I was introduced to Jamie was in 2001 when the Dinos men’s team toured England and visited the Leicester Tigers
