Oni Dojo Martial Arts

Oni Dojo field trip! A couple of us visited some training spaces in Chinatown, as part of an event put on by Friends of Chinatown.

At the White Brow Hap-Ging-Do Martial Arts and Lion Association, we got to see some kata demonstrations and of lion dancing!

At the Calgary Martial Club, they taught us about Wing Chun's Chi Sao drills. It looks easy but is very difficult to master....

The last place was the Chinese Freemasons Club, showing Tai Chi and Qi-gong!

We love events that can help bring the martial art community together!

A bit late posting, but a few of us from Oni Dojo went up to Edmonton last year for the Beat the Crap Out of Cancer fundraiser.

It was an amazing experience, getting to try out different types of sparring in a safe and encouraging environment. Huge thank you to Prairie Rose Fight Lab for putting this event together!

Keep your eyes open for me students and friends, I had my car broken into. They stole my backpack from my drivers seat, which had my work laptop (from 2009), my yeti water bottle(with dojo logo and stickers on it) and my small red martial arts notebook with over 3 years of personal notes 😭

Life has been off to a crazy hectic start this year. But happy to be hosting these seminars again! Would love to get to word out about this event to s many other clubs as possible.
