R.I.P Caped Crusader

I want to thank all of you that have been part of the Dark Knight over the past 12 years but this was the last one. It has been a true pleasure for me to put this race on and to see the joy that it has spawned. But my time has come to an end. I'm out of bad ideas and I need to move on to bigger and badder ideas.

There are too many highlights for me to list but what made me the happiest is when this morphed into a family event. The extended CX family in Alberta is wonderful and over the past 12 years I've seen your kids grow up and I've revelled in the look in their eyes when they finally start beating the adults. I've also loved that you adults turned into kids again when given the chance.

I can't turn out the lights without recognizing the tireless support that I have received from the Cyclemeisters, Bow Cycle, and ABA crews. I get all the handshakes and congratulations but the real credit needs to go to the volunteers and officials that return year after year to help put the DK on. It's no small feat to pull off and they made it easy.

Rest assured that I am working on a few silly ideas for next season, but come late October 2020, when I put a costume on and turn out the lights and light a fire or two ... it'll be with my wife and that's just none of your business.

We’re good to go everyone. Course is holding up nicely to this dusting of snow and the winds have moderated down to the blustery level. For your safety we will not be having the jumps but there will still be ample opportunities for you to hurt yourself if that’s what you’re after.

Just a reminder that the kids race goes at 6pm and there's no need to sign up. Just show up and giver

Good morning Racers!! Looks to be a beautiful day for CX. Course was set yesterday, it blew away, we'll reset it this morning and hope for the best.
