A champion has been crowned in the season long 2026 City Pairs League! In a battle that was up in the air until the last bowls of the last end, Stanley Park’s Wilf Steckler and John Daly emerged victorious.

Play all afternoon was extraordinary and it was no wonder that these four teams finished at the top of this competitive league. Congratulations to CLBC’s runners up: Second place Gord House and Patti Lewis, Third place Adrian Chan and Keziah Yip and Fourth place Greg Wilson and Matthew Huebert.

The Fifth/Sixth place game between Linda Kodnar and Judy Derhun vs. Peter Mok and Brent Warren will be played at a later date.

SPEED × ACCURACY MULTIPLIER = YOUR SCORE

Each entry gets four bowls, with your best two attempts counting toward the rankings.

💵 $10 — One entry
💵 $20 — Three entries
All proceeds will go to raising funds for the Indoor Bowls Club of Calgary

TOP 8 advance to a playoff to drive for the prizes!

Today was the final day of the Southern Provincial Novice tournament. After a day of excellent bowls and competitive games the medalists are:

Gold 🥇 Bray and Zach
Silver 🥈Stephen and Kathy from Lethbridge

Bronze 🥉Bruce and Elle

2 of 3 medalists were from clbc!

We had perfect weather conditions and wonderful greens for CLBC’s annual Pain Trophy competition. Only one team emerged undefeated - congratulations to Pauline Wong, Peter French and Keziah Yip for their win! Adrian Chan, Fred Emms and Rob Garth narrowly beat Keith Bacon, Billy Thrasher and Lana McFadden to capture second place.

Today is the southern Alberta Provincial novice tournament down at Bow Valley lawn bowling club. Great representation from lots of different clubs: Lethbridge, Bow Valley, Stanley and Calgary Lawn. Lots of great bowls!

Team Bowls Alberta is ready to roll at the 2026 Bowls Canada Boulingrin National Championships in North Vancouver. Go Team Alberta and all our CLBC club mates, we’re cheering for you!

The 2026 Canadian Para-Bowls Championships are in the books and our Alberta reps took home a massive medal haul! Big congratulations from all of us at Calgary Lawn Bowling Club to Dan for his Gold in the B5 division, Jack for his Gold in the B6 division Anne for claiming top spot in the B7 over Wendy who goes home with a Silver medal and Cory who gets Gold in the B8 division. 5 medals across 5 classified divisions is a massive feat! Well done all!
