W E ‘ R E 5 !

5 years ago today I slept in the gym to open our doors at Elevate YYC (known as Bedrock CrossFit at that time) under my new ownership on September 23rd. We were shut down most of our first year of business and now made it to see 5 YEARS!

Thank you to the entire community for making it the place it is today. Community is everything and my goal was always to make this a place where you could come and get more fit than when you entered but more importantly, that it could be your “Third Place” in your life where you meet up with your friends. Exercise doesn’t have to be boring and you’re never too old to just have fun. Thank you to all of you who have ever passed through our doors for all the laughs and friendships.

Happy Birthday to you all, The Community!

Happy Friday! Here is our interactive demo for the buy-in for Event 1 at “For The Girls” on September 27th! We still have room for you to come down and celebrate women in sport and support . Register using the link in our bio.

This workout has a 12 minute time cap with no minimum work requirement for the movements allowing you to divide any of the reps however you like! Only one partner has handstand push ups? No big deal. Make them do all the burpees 😄

For the Open 50+, toes to bar and handstand push ups count as 2 reps towards the total if you do them instead of hanging knee raises and plate ground to overhead. Partners can mix movements.

W O R K O U T 4 ✨

This one has a few twists and turns to allow for some strategy and some fun.

Each partner gets 1 minute at each movement to get as many reps as possible for a total of 6 minutes. P1 will do 1 minute of bar muscle ups OR chest to bar pull ups, then P2 will do 1 minute of the same movement and will continue on with all three movements until they’ve each completed 1 minute of work for the movements.

Here’s the twist; bar muscle ups count as 2 reps while chest to bar pull ups count as 1 rep. The same goes for the Scaled and Open divisions for pull ups counting as 2 reps and ring rows as 1 rep, and double unders as 2 reps with single skips as 1 rep.

“For the Girls” is meant to showcase women in sport so please come out and get in some fun workouts while supporting our charity, The Brenda Strafford Foundation

In case you forgot, here’s a reminder about our women’s only 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏾 charity event competition happening September 27th. Proceeds from every registration go to The Brenda Strafford Foundation

For Event 2, partners will have 8 Minutes and 1 barbell to complete the movements. One partner completes the deadlift, one partner completes the clean & jerk. Your score is the combined weight.

There will be 4 events, no final, and a lot of fun! This event not only helps support women in our community but shows how amazing women in sport are. Register now to secure your shirts 👚 and an amazing swag bag… details will start dropping soon 👀
