We are incredibly proud to highlight one of the brightest rising stars on Team Shuswap Ski and Board, Kate Pinsonneault. Check out her recently article/interview at:

This past summer brought some big competitive milestones. We got to watch her shine right in our own backyard during the Rocky Mountain Pro Am at the Waterski Club in Calgary. Competing in the U21 overall division, she clinched a victory in the Jump event, officially qualifying her for the highly prestigious 2027 Waterski Masters in Georgia! It is fantastic to see her successfully transitioning into pro events and immediately leaving her mark.

Right now, Kate is down at in Paraguay, representing Canada at the 2026 Pan American Waterski Championships, where she is pulling double duty, competing on both the U21 & Open teams. The site holds great momentum for her as it’s the exact location where she captured gold in Jump at the 2025 Junior Pans.

Despite an intense travel and competition schedule, Kate remains deeply committed to the local BC watersports community. Over the summer, she spent time training with the team at the . She also took the time to host a waterski camp and stepped up to coach the Zone 2 team at the 2026 .ca in Kelowna.

Looking ahead, her itinerary is packed. She’ll be returning to her college ski team at Florida Southern to compete at the Syndicate NCWSA Collegiate National Championships, followed closely by her next major global competition: the U21 Waterski World Championships in Peru in January 2027.

Kate's ultimate goal is to become a world champion. With her relentless drive and dominant recent performances, she is well on her way. Join us in cheering her on as she continues to represent Canada, and Team Shuswap Ski & Board, at the absolute highest levels of the sport!

Shuswap Ski & Board has partnered with to bring you a MASSIVE tournament event with over $14,000 in CASH to be won. This event is bringing the intensity🔥 with a massive $14,000 cash purse held at !

Get ready for MLP-style match play featuring teams of four consisting of two men 👬 and two women 👭 Players have registered individually and teams are drawn via a draft. 80 players will make up 20 total teams, with 10 teams per division. Players will battle it out in either the Jones Bracket (DUPR 3.5 – 4.25) or the Open Bracket (DUPR 4.25+).

Both divisions feature major cash payouts paid out at the end of the event: The 1st place prize for the Open Bracket division is $4,000 !💰 Every placing player also walks away with a custom medal.

Not only has Shuswap Ski & Board sponsored part of this event but our very own Andrew Martin will be out on the courts competing with a team in the Open division, so come down, watch some high-level play, and say hello!

On the Shuswap Ski & Board High Stakes Pickleball team we have:
ssnb (4.878 DUPR) - A consistent anchor for the team that has medaled in nearly every event he's played in, in the last 3 years. Recently taking a Bronze Medal in the 35+ PRO Division at Alberta Provincials.

(4.935 DUPR) -Arguably one of the best players in Alberta, perhaps in Canada! Jessica placed 4th at Nationals in the Mixed OPEN division and took a Gold Medal in women's 4.0+ at Nationals.

(4.508 DUPR) - Amy collects podium pictures like pokemon. She's gotta have them all, and she's getting them too! Proving to be one of the strongest female players in the province she is a recent triple medalist at Alberta Provincials: Taking Bronze in 4.5+ Mixed, Silver in 4.0+ Singles and Gold in 4.5+ Doubles!

Gene Marshall (4.410 DUPR) - A force to be reckoned with on the court! A high PB IQ player with a drive that will blow the paddle out of your hand. Gene can be found on the court nearly every day and has recently taken a coaching position at the . Hit him up for a lesson!
