Every detail of these kits created by our very own Kevin Nunn was built with intention.

Our light jersey features the iconic CF-18 Hornets flying in formation — a symbol of unity, precision, and the way this team moves together on and off the field. Inspired by the classic Canadian fighter jet, it represents Maverick playing fast, connected, and fearless.

The dark jersey brings a different energy. The afterburner design on the back symbolizes speed — the view our opponents get as we run past them. Hidden throughout the jersey is a topographical map inspired by Kitchener’s landscape, featuring a subtle Maverick bull easter egg woven into the lines as a nod to the program’s roots.

We’re thrilled to welcome two experienced coaches to the Maverick team!

Jon Hines has been passionate about ultimate since 2001, when he began playing pickup at the University of Waterloo. He remains an active member of the ultimate community, having competed at both national and world championship levels as a player. As a coach, he has led teams to five national championship appearances! This summer, Jon is excited to help Maverick players grow individually and achieve success as a team.

Jason Cunningham brings coaching experience at the high school, university, and junior club levels. He will be supporting the team behind the scenes while serving as the head coach of the Simcoe Swarm Junior Women’s program. Last year, he was an assistant coach for the U17 Canada East development program, which won gold and spirit at the Pan American Youth Championships in Costa Rica. Jason focuses on building strong team culture, helping players find their roles, and promoting a high level of spirit in competition.
