The best summers at the lake are planned ahead! ☀️
Why? ⬇️
Booking ahead gives you access to better time slots, more consistent scheduling, and the right coaching availability throughout the season.
When water skiers train regularly, progression becomes easier to build and maintain. Skills develop faster when sessions build on each other instead of feeling scattered.
Structure creates confidence.
Consistency reinforces it!

The first jump feels difficult because it asks for full trust and commitment!
There’s speed, timing, and trust in what you’ve practiced
For most skiers, the challenge is not just physical. It’s learning to stay connected and confident while everything starts moving faster.
That’s why progression matters.
At McClintocks Water Ski School, We don’t go straight to the jump.
We build the pieces steo by step with you first. Positioning, edge control, timing, and drills that prepare the skier step by step.
When the foundation is there, the jump stops feeling random.
It becomes repeatable.
We are officially open for the summer, book online to secure your spot early as the summer months are predicted to be busy and HOT. 🔥

The right equipment doesn’t just improve performance. It changes how you learn. At McClintock’s Water Ski School every water-skier is matched with gear based on their level and what they’re working on.
Beginner skis are designed for stability and safe release. As skills improve, the equipment evolves.
It’s not about having the best gear. It’s about having the right gear. ☀️

⬇️ A lot of people assume structured coaching is only for advanced skiers.
That’s usually what holds them back.
At McClintock’s, beginners are coached with the same level of attention and structure as competitive athletes.
We build progression based on where you are and move you forward from there.
That’s how confidence is built. That’s how people improve. Come try something new with the whole family this summer!

Balance on the water on water-skis isn’t about staying upright.
There is a science to it when it comes to positioning your weight correctly.
You are never going to believe it but where weight sits actually does affects your speed, your turns, and your control.
When your position is correct, the ski does more of the work.
This is one of the first things we build, because everything else depends on it.

Wind changes the conditions.
It doesn’t change what matters.
Speed and direction are still the focus.
In a tailwind, releasing earlier allows the ski to decelerate so you can focus on direction into the turn.
In a headwind, you need a stronger connection through the wakes to carry speed.
Most mistakes come from trying to manage speed instead of creating it properly.
Your gate sets the timing. Adjust it based on direction and keep those adjustments specific.
The goal is consistency.

Water safety starts before you even hit the water. It starts on dry and with properly fitted lifejackets. If a vest is too loose, it rides up and creates risk. A correct fit keeps the skier secure and positioned properly in the water.
From there, the driver matters more than most people realize. An experienced, attentive driver is constantly aware of both the skier and the environment..
Technique is another major piece. When fundamentals are taught properly, skiing at every level can be done with minimal risk.
Equipment plays a role too. The skis and bindings need to match the skier and the type of lesson. Beginner setups are designed to release safely during falls.
And finally, progression tools. We start on the boom, then move to the handle, and only go behind the boat once the foundation is there.
Safety isn’t one decision. It’s a system.
Come bring the whole family and try something new this summer. ☀️

Teaching your own kids to ski can be one of the best experiences. We noticed, It can also accidentally create fear or frustration if it is rushed or set up incorrectly.
The biggest mistake we see is pushing too hard too fast. Kids who feel safe, successful, and supported are the ones who fall in love with the sport.
The right equipment, proper instruction, and thoughtful driving make all the difference.
If you want your child to start strong and actually enjoy it, we are here to help guide the process the right way.
