Dance Temple Campbell River is hosted by those who love to dance and promote movement and expression for all. We are a small group of individuals who are committed to offering Conscious Dance opportunities to the Campbell River Community. We are grateful to receive some support from The Centre for Inspired Living that helps us host these events. We inspire to create a transformational safe space
for all people to gather, feel, and dance. In celebration of self and that of a collective community that embraces diversity and expression of Spirit. We host a variety of different DJ’s and Facilitators and aim to host a monthly dance event on the last Friday of the month at the Willow Point Community Hall. We have a few guidelines that are integral to promoting a safe space for all, please respect the following:
Dance Temple Campbell River is family friendly; all ages are welcome (however, those who are under 12yr must be supervised at all times). No talking on the dance floor (if words are needed to be exchanged, please take space away from the floor). No street shoes allowed on the dance floor (indoor only shoes are ok). No cell phone use, no camera’s or videos. Please use the silent mode or turn off. One may come and go as needed. Please respect boundaries. Respect yourself and the other human beings in this space. Obtain ongoing consent for any interactions with others. This can be done with hand signals or other silent communications. Cost is $20 per person. Children 12 and under are free. No one will be turned away due to lack of funding, please contact us before hand to make arrangements if needed. We acknowledge that we operate on the traditional territories of the Laichwiltach, Klahoose, and K’omoks First Nations. We honour our relationship with these First Nations, the Homalco First Nations and all other First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples who reside in these territories. We give gratitude to these First Peoples for their patience and generosity. May we all walk gently on these lands.
