We present your 2026 Mixed Open Champions, Max Corcoran and Dana Smith (Gross) and John Culyer and Amelie Labrie (Net).

Max and Dana shot a four under par 140 after rounds of 73 and 67 for a five stroke victory over the father daughter team of Phil and Rachelle Wade. Hunter Auramenko and Kendra Smycniuk finished in third place.

John and Amelie tied for the overnight lead after a net 64 and followed this up with a 66 for a net 14 under par total of 130. Jessie Horner and Jim Sutherland were second after consecutive 67’s. (Yes, screenagers, six seven) and Yvonne and George Phipps finished third after 67,68.

The golf course was in outstanding condition thanks to Superintendent, Arran Marlow and his crew, while the participants enjoyed two great meals courtesy of Fa&B Manager, Marty Smith and his team.

Thirty three years ago, with much hard work, Deb Hutchinson put the first Mixed Open together. With Brian, they continued to grow the event year after year, winning both net and gross divisions along the way. This year they said would be their last time competing (we’ll talk them in to lots more). The very last event tonight was the 50/50 draw. Guess who won? Good things happen to good people. Thank you Deb and Brian for making the Mixed Open happen. You have given so much joy to so many people.
