It is with great sadness that Campbell River Minor Hockey recognizes the passing of one of our most dedicated lifetime members and a true pillar of our hockey community, Stan Stewart.
Stan's impact on Campbell River Minor Hockey is impossible to measure.

As a former CRMHA President, coach, mentor, volunteer, and friend, he devoted countless hours to ensuring generations of young players had the opportunity to fall in love with the game. Whether he was coaching a team, helping with First Shift, mentoring new coaches, serving on the executive, or simply stepping in wherever there was a need, Stan always answered the call.

Coach Stewart's legacy is one of dedication, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to grassroots hockey. He believed the game was about far more than wins and losses - it was about sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and creating lifelong memories. His influence reached countless young players, coaches, volunteers, and families who were fortunate enough to know him.

Coach Stan will continue to be honoured through the Stan Stewart Recreational Hockey Player of the Year Award, ensuring future generations remember the remarkable impact he had on our association and the values he championed.

Our deepest condolences go out to Ella and the Stewart family during this difficult time.
