We have two workshops coming up with Bobbi next week:
💫 Thursday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. ▶️ Breathwork
Breathwork is a simple but powerful way to support your nervous system and reconnect with your body. You’ll be introduced to gentle breathing patterns designed to help release tension, settle the mind, and invite the body towards a more present state.
💫 Friday, June 12 at 6:00 p.m. ▶️ Aerial Yoga: Slow Flow + Fly
Slow Flow + Fly blends grounded, yoga + somatic movement with aerial work using the hammocks. Expect steady flow, time to linger with curiosity in shapes, while Bobbi intentionally encourages unstructured play throughout; something that is truly missing in most adults’ lives.

Friday, June 5 at 9:00 a.m. > Tai Chi & Qigong Fundamentals
Rick's 60-minute Tai Chi & Qigong Fundamentals pop-up class explores the fundamentals of Tai Chi and Qigong, including warm-up, breath work, meditation, gentle Qigong exercises, Tai Chi fundamentals, and various basic Tai Chi patterns.
Tai Chi and Qigong are both traditional Chinese mind-body practices focusing on breathing, movement, and energy (Qi) cultivation, but they differ in complexity.
Both practices can be used together; in fact, Tai Chi is technically a form of Qigong that incorporates martial arts, and many instructors incorporate Qigong exercises to warm up for Tai Chi.
👉 Key Differences Between Qigong and Tai Chi:
Structure: Qigong is generally simpler and emphasizes repeating a single movement to focus on energy flow. Tai Chi consists of a long, fluid sequence of forms (postures) that requires memorization.
Focus: Qigong (meaning "energy work") is more focused on health, meditation, and energy cultivation. Tai Chi ("grand ultimate fist") is a martial art known as "moving meditation" that focuses on balance, body awareness, and self-defence principles.
Movement Types: Qigong movements are done standing or seated, making them accessible for limited mobility. Tai Chi is practiced standing and involves continuous, slow-motion stepping, weight shifting, and flowing from one posture to another.
Learning Curve: Qigong is often considered easier to learn for beginners because movements are not chained together in a strict sequence.
Pop-ups are included in all our fitness centre memberships. Guests are welcome to join us for the drop-in rate of $17.50.
