PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE MEETING (next week)
DATE: TUESDAY JULY 6TH
TIME: 5pm-8pm
LOCATION: Simmons Arena
The purpose of the open house is for Council to obtain input and comments from residents on the preliminary concept design. This input can be provided to City staff and consulting services firms to assist with the final design for the new sports facility.
Attendees will view poster boards of the preliminary concept design and will be able to provide feedback and ask questions of the staff and council members

Excited to see the City of Charlottetown begin the process of replacing Simmons. Also pleased to see the idea of a public meeting, looking forward to having the community involved.

The proposed Simmons Community Arena.
Building features include new walking track, Community Meeting Room, Multi-purpose Room, new outdoor pool,
8 locker rooms, NHL-sized ice surface, canteen, seating capacity of 620, and ample storage for all minor hockey, soccer, ringette, figure skating.
