A huge shout out to my nephew Jesse Snow Lawncare for coming on board as a sponsor for the rest of the year. He not only supports us for sponsorship, he also turns wrenches on this thing every week with the rest of our awesome crew.
Reach out to him for any grass cutting, landscaping or yard work. You won't be disappointed. ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ
Thank you Jesse Snow

Well, we took the car in to start the tear down and try to find where we missed on the setup, after some curiosity as we seemed to have lost power, we decided to check the end play of the crank to find our engine plague continues. With significant movement in our thrust bearings after just 2 weeks of racing we are lost. We have changed 3 cranks now and bearings, 3 transmissions, torque converters and flex plates as well as a drive shaft. Just simply discouraged as we try to scramble to find parts and pieces to put an engine together ourselves with the help of some good competitors and friends to get back to the track as this engine endeavour has been quite costly. Some may ask why we do it? We do it for the love of the sport, the smiles and cheers of the fans and that sense of pride to parade those checkered flags, which we will hopefully be doing again soon enough.

Well folks sorry for the poor display of racing last night.
We went to the track with a different set up to "free" up the car in the corners lol. Well it was so free I couldn't touch the throttle in the turns.
Started 2nd but salvaged a 4th place.
Come feature time we "tightened" the car up. Again, way to much and the car became a dump truck. Started 6th and finished 7th or 8th (last car remaining on the track ๐Ÿคช)
I'm hoping I know the error and will come back better. Can only go up from here lol.
See you in a couple weeks.

Well folks our attemp to make the Ricky Bobby this weekend has come to an end.
The crank has left the new engine again. We are scratching our heads and trying to figure out where the problem lies.
The thrust bearing is not happy with something.
We have checked the drive line, driveshaft, changed transmissions and STILL have a problem.
Hoping to figure it out before our next race at home but sucks we won't be making Speedway 660 this week.
We will figure it out someday I hope.

PS, I don't like to fail, stay tuned!!

Another day in the books. Another 3rd place trophy. Not a win but after the week we had it was a success. There are too many people to thank for this week, but im going to try.
First off thank you for the motor offers starting with Randy Millar and Devin Gallant. A big thanks to Michael Cormier offering a motor, transmission and even his car. Thanks to Robbie MacLean for a transmission and Bobby Linda Mac Dougall for having one at the ready if we needed it. Thank you to Colin Newman for making sure it went in perfectly. Thank you to Arsenault Cylinder Heads and Marc Andre Arsenault for turning an engine around in 24 hrs.
Our awesome crew for thrashing all week to get us there Mark Devlin, Mark Levy, Kodie Champion, Craig Peters, Grant Peters, Devin Gallant, Lucas Vanhul, Brandon Snow, Kate Lynn, And anyone else who stopped by and helped or offered parts. This list of help was long this week and very much appreciated.
On to the races, first race started 5th, finished 3rd. Feature time started 4th and got up to second pretty early, following a blistering fast Devin Gallant. At about halfway we had a great battle with Brodie MacQuarrie, clean hard racing for 7 or 8 laps and the young gun in the 66 blew past me. My age really shows after 25 laps or so lol. All in all, a good day. Glad to finish this one. Now to see if we can get ready for the Ricky Bobby 150 at Speedway 660.
If not, see ya's at OBS for our next race in July.
Thank you Dave O'Blenis for the shirt design

Well hereโ€™s our race recap for the weekend folks. Not really much to say other than our part time driver struggled with his luck with a starter issue and than early on with setup. Made a few swings and some changes to get the car decent for the first race. The first race was decent however we seemed to be struggling in the power department but managed to get a 4th . Jesse snow had found the number 6 plug wire had come off the engine so we got that back on and a few adjustments and it was time for the semi. Well the semi sure didnโ€™t go our way. What started off as a much better car turned down hill real quick when a front end component let go sending us right into the wall coming off of turn 2. I canโ€™t say thank you enough to the people who helped get us back on the track for the feature. Tyler Gauthier, Campbell Stewart, Mark Maclean, Devin Gallant and crew dove right in to start the rebuild along side our crew as well some I am sure Iโ€™m forgetting. I was honestly set back from the sportsmanship showed to get us back on the track for feature time and I canโ€™t thank you all enough. We had parts from all over including a brake line off of Brodie Macquarries 66 car that was sitting home in his shop while he was anyway. Thanks again men! So started the tail of the field in the feature just to see how things would go, after an extremely chaotic first lap red flag we tried to dial in and see how it would go. Than my luck struck again with diving in a little to low in turn one and tagging Randy Millar causing him to go around ( sorry again Randy please forgive me ๐Ÿ˜ฌ). We got that sorted out and made amazing gains on the rest of the field considering what had happened earlier in the day. As the checkered flag was waving we were starting to look inside of the 5th place car taking home a 6th place over all and a not so pretty right side. I think Kenny Snow may be benching me for the rest of the year haha. Time to repair, replace and get the hot rod ready again for Veteran Driver Kenny Snow. Also thanks again to our Crew and family as well as all our sponsors who make this possible:

DRIVER OF THE WEEK: The inaugural Bingley's Auto Body Driver of the Week Award goes to Oyster Bed Bridgeโ€™s Kenny Snow (SnowStorm Racing) in our Fitzpatrick Consulting Street Stock division!

After spending a long while "semi-retired" (dabbling in Pro Stocks, playing substitute for others, etc.), "The Snow Storm" returned behind the wheel of his own Street Stock โ€” the former Tom C. Nicholls hotrod โ€” for the first time in years during our 2026 Season Opener on Sunday, May 17th.

Heading into the event, the hometown veteran and former champion had two wishes (seriousness up for interpretation): to stay caught up with the field and for a short-distance feature. One turned out to be an understatement, and the other โ€” well, the extra laps didn't seem to slow him down.

Snow benefited from favourable random draws for his heat and semi races, starting and finishing first in both. The biggest highlight there was him โ€” the New Glasgow Fire Department's newest fire chief โ€” besting two of his crew in an exciting, spirited 12-lap semi showdown.

In the extended, caution-free 40-lap feature, Snow charged through a deep 10-car field from eighth, climbing to third by the halfway mark after outmuscling a strong group of fellow veteran competitors, and maintained that position to the finish.

When we say this award embodies what racing at Oyster Bed Speedway is all about, Kenny Snowโ€™s Opening Day story fits that definition perfectly, setting the standard for what it will take for others to earn it as the season continues.

Congratulations, Kenny! As we await his return in a few weeks to present him the award, we look forward to seeing his son, Brandon, take his turn in the #7 Street Stock for the first time this year this Saturday on Fan Appreciation Night!

One of our great sponsors are looking to add to their crew this fall check them out Backwoods Tree Cutting

Hey , we are looking to add to our silviculture crew for the summer into the late fall. Job entails tree planting, brush saw work (plantation maintenance, pre commercial thinning and custom thinnings), chainsaw work (logging, limbing branches, blocking wood) as well as some other odd jobs around the lumber yard and out on site.

Must have reliable transportation to the shop located in Cavendish every day as travel is provided from there.

Experience is not an asset but will be considered over other candidates.

If you or know of anyone that would be interested please private message me or text at 902 394-3261 and ask for Jeremy for more details.

Thank you!
