I'm a father of six, a husband, a friend, a contributing member of society, a neighbour, a coworker, and a protector. I have no criminal record, I pay my taxes, I follow the laws, I don't hang out with bad people. The RCMP does daily background checks on me. Convicted pedophiles don't even get this type of treatment.
But because I am a hunter, sport shooter, collector, I will become a criminal with the stroke of a pen.
I will not be able to pass down any of my personal legally acquired property to my children and their future generatons as heirlooms. Not only will my legally acquired personal property become illegal, but it will mostly be confiscated with force and no form of compensation. (It's not the money I want, I want to keep what I have)
This should be concerning for all Canadians. The focus should really be on the root causes of criminal activities.

Heads up everyone. It’s that time of year sadly. . . I can remember the 2018 sockeye season with heavy smoke in the skies most of the time. 😔
The Coastal Fire Centre will enact a campfire prohibition on August 4, 2022 at noon Pacific Daylight Time for all regions except Haida Gwaii.
This prohibition is being enacted to help reduce the risk of wildfires in our region. The prohibition covers all BC Parks, Crown lands and private lands within the Coastal Fire Centre, unless specified in local government bylaws.
The campfire prohibition does not apply to cooking stoves that use gas, propane or briquettes, or portable campfire devices that use briquettes, liquid or gaseous fuel, provided they are CSA or ULC approved, and the height of the flame is less than 15 centimetres.
Category 2 and 3 fires were prohibited as of July 15, 2022 – this includes backyard and industrial burning. All burning prohibitions will be in place until October 28, 2022, or until rescinded.
We appreciate the public supporting us by adhering to these prohibitions during this period of increased wildfire risk in our region.

Here's the latest DFO update and it looks like we'll have to wait until Aug 2nd to see if the Fraser opens for sockeye.
I was looking back at the 2018 opening and it opened August 7 to Sept. 3 and was extended a few day after. Lets hope we see the same this year!!!

Just a heads up to the sturgeon and bar fishermen out there, we’ll be making wedge weights again once the sockeye season winds down. Sizes available will be from 6oz to 32oz in 2oz increments.
