šļø Outdoor classes are back! šæ
If youāve been following my account for a while now you know that I love to get out in the great outdoors - thatās why two of my brand emojis are a šļø and š. Being outside is so nourishing to our bodies, to our breath and to our nervous system and this area that we live in, in the Fraser Valley is so rich with places for us to reset and release.
Thereās also something very special about slowing down at the end of the day. To allow ourselves the opportunity to breathe deeply, to move gently, and to allow ourselves to release the stress weāve been carrying.
Join me for Sunset Stretches in the Park, a gentle outdoor wellness class designed to help you reconnect with your body, calm your nervous system, and create space for rest and renewal, in community with others. These classes will include intentional and mindful movement, gentle passive and active stretching, breathwork, and restorative moments as we move with the rhythm of the evening. Itās the perfect way to wind down for the day.
Here are your options for classes:
⨠Individual classes $13/class
⨠Pre-register for the month! 4-class pass: $40

šø Mindful Monday: Love and Loss š·
āWhen it comes right down to it, our entire messy, elaborate lives are a dance of letting go, of loving, and of losing.ā (Deanna Barnhardt Kawatski - Wilderness Mother) š
The last five weeks have seemed to last a lifetime. What began with much needed rest, family time and adventure, turned our attention to a fall from an aging parent, regular hospital (then hospice) visits, and processing being present to witness the sacredness of a last breath. To make it officially poignant, on the one year anniversary of losing our beloved youngest dog, we officially said āsee you soonā to our beloved family member.
And yet, this is life.
It is beautiful.
And it is brutal.
And the two can happen at the same time.
Life is all about making efforts to learn from every experience.
To love those around you. (Even when theyāre difficult)
And to be mindful of the lessons along the wayā¦.
Life lessons, life and love, letting go, acts of surrender, grief and loss, the sandwich generation, mindful moments, taking the time you need, love and loss, mindful Monday, yoga off the mat, being mindful, mindfulness, aging parents, mindful not mindfull.

āļø Right now, Iām getting by on coffee, prayers, and a little bit of Jesus after a death in our family. And honestly, sometimes thatās sufficient for this moment.
There are seasons where survival looks different. Routines shift, emotions can feel heavy, and we lean on the simple things that help carry us through the day, like caffeine. It may not be sustainable forever, but grace reminds us that not every season is meant to look balanced or polished. Thereās a reason that I say we have to allow ourselves to āSit in the sh*tā. (Itās in order to allow us to heal). And until we can, caffeine, prayers and Jesus gets us through it š«£
So if youāre in a hard season too, give yourself permission to just get through today. Coffee in hand. And when weāre able and ready, the strength of our Creator meets us gently in the middle of our grief, our exhaustion, and our healing. š¤
Feeling this yourself? Drop me a š in the comments. Have more time? Drop me a few words of encouragement š Ill read them with appreciation ā¤ļø
Grief and loss, the power of caffeine, death is a part of life, a long week, encouragement, thank you Jesus.

⨠Sorry I canāt talk right now⦠Iām in therapy āØ
Not the kind with a couch and a clipboard⦠the kind where I finally get quiet enough to hear myself again. Stillness. Solitude. Breath. In a world that rewards constant output, choosing to pause can feel uncomfortable⦠even unfamiliar. But your nervous system doesnāt heal in the noiseāit heals in the slow, gentle moments where you allow yourself to soften, to feel, and to simply be.
Therapy doesnāt always look like talking. Sometimes itās sitting in silence with your hand on your heart. Sometimes itās stepping away from the chaos for a few intentional breaths. Sometimes itās giving yourself permission to rest without needing to earn it. These small, quiet practices arenāt indulgent⦠theyāre essential. They regulate your body, calm your mind, and guide you back to a place of safety and connection within yourself.
If your body is asking for this kind of care, I invite you to join me for Be Restoredāa 60-minute class this Saturday designed to gently support your nervous system through stillness, breath, and rest. A space to step away, soften, and simply receive. š¤

āØBe Restored is back.
We started and Iām bringing it back .by.jo ! This gentle 60-minute experience is designed to help you slow down, soften, and reset from the inside out. Through supported postures, mindful movement, and guided breath, this class creates space for your body to release tension and your mind to settle. Itās an invitation to step out of survival mode and into a place of safety, stillness, and deep restoration.
Restorative practices support your nervous system by encouraging the body to shift from āfight and flightā (stress responses) into ārest-and-digestā (to integrate information and respond, rather than reacting). Benefits include reduced anxiety, improved sleep, decreased inflammation (and reduced pain), enhanced circulation, and a greater sense of calm and clarity. With the use of props and intentional pacing, each posture is held in a way that allows your body to be fully supportedāso tension can be released with ease and healing can happen without force.
In a season that invites renewal, weāre reminded that slowing ourselves down enough to truly listen to what matters most is crucial.
Come as you are.
This is your space to rest, reconnect, and be cared for. No pressure, no performanceājust presence.

šæThoughtful Tuesdays - Why We Need Solitude & Intentional Rest
Thereās a quiet invitation that comes with a changing seasonā¦Not to push harder. Or to cling to what worked before. But to soften⦠and to listen. Itās the reason you see me posting more of rest and relaxation lately than striving. Those days are over. I am worthy without the hustle. And so are you.
So hereās the tea for today: āļø
The rhythms that carried you through one season
may not be what your body, mind, or spirit needs now.
Being present to hear that information takes intentional rest and solitude - because that information is wisdom.
We are not meant to live in rigid routines that never bend. We are created for rhythm, for flow, for renewal.
Just like the earth shifts, from rest to growth, from fullness to release, so do we.
Maybe this season is asking you to:
š wake a little slower
š rest without guilt
š change how you move, nourish, or spend your time
š let go of habits that once helped, but now feel heavy
This is how we grow and evolve.
Let this be your permission to adjust your paceā¦
to realign your habitsā¦
And to honour the season you are in.
Rest and relaxation, solitude, intentional rest, seasonal rhythms, end hustle culture, listen to your body.

šŖ»Spring invites us to move againā¦to do more, step forward, and to reawaken. Itās part of our renewal out of the long winter months.
š But before you rushā¦.pauseā¦.to reflect on what you want to bring into this new season. I love doing this with each seasonal change as it helps me refocus on my priorities and brings excitement to the season ahead.
In spring our bodies are ready to move, but our rhythms still need renewed intention. Not every habit from the past season needs to come with us. Spring is a beautiful time to reflect on what is working, what matters most and whatās needs a tweak.
š THIS is your reminder to move with awareness, not pressure, to choose rhythms that feel life-giving in this season and to know that habits and ānon-negotiablesā CAN change. Thatās where our renewal begins. š¤
