Sorry for the late post! Last, but by no means least:

Meet Coach Robyn Knott

Robyn has been around Special Olympics for several years, first supporting her daughter and later getting involved herself as a coach. Robyn has begun taking courses to further her skills and knowledge as a coach.

Robyn is a strong advocate for her own athlete and all our athletes, always cheering them on and loving to see them smile.

Her encouragement, support, and love for our athletes make her an important part of our Special Olympics family.

Meet Coach Colleen Abbott

Colleen brought her son, Joshua, to Special Olympics in 2013. As Joshua grew to love Special Olympics, Colleen quickly fell in love with it too. It wasn’t long before she decided to become a coach and give back to the club that meant so much to her family.

Colleen now coaches bowling and bocce, where she loves being on the floor with our athletes, seeing their smiles, and watching them grow and succeed.

Colleen also serves on our executive as Club Coordinator and Treasurer—two roles she certainly doesn’t take lightly! She puts a tremendous amount of time and effort into the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our club running smoothly.

While Colleen takes great pride in her executive responsibilities, it’s the sports side that she truly enjoys the most. She encourages our athletes to always do their best, while reminding them that the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy themselves.

We are so grateful for Colleen’s dedication, hard work, and love for our athletes and our club. ❤️🏅

Thank you, Colleen, for everything you do—both on and off the court!

Meet Coach Bob Chafe

Bob is our go-to guy for practically anything! When we need someone, he’s always just a phone call away.

His son, Nicholas, has been a part of Special Olympics since the beginning. It took a few years for Bob to realize just how much he could bring to our club, but we are certainly glad he did!

Bob now coaches Nicholas in golf, as well as coaching bocce. He is always willing to jump in, lend a hand, and help wherever he is needed.

Bob has become such a valuable part of our Special Olympics family, and we truly appreciate everything he does for our athletes and our club.

Thank you, Bob, for always being there when we need you! ❤️🏅
