Local summer swim club! Our season runs from May 1st to until mid August. Welcome to the Claresholm Kraken Swim Club!

The Claresholm Kraken Swim Club is a member of the Alberta Summer Swim Association (ASSA). Our Club consists of approximately 80 members. The club ranges from the ages of 5 to 28, as well as in ability, from Fitness to Competitive Levels. Our season begins on May 1st and runs until approximately mid-August depending on when the ASSA Provincials are held. Our swimmers are coached in stroke improvem

Aria has earned Swimmer of the Week for her hard work, positive attitude, and continued growth. As one of our Mini Krakens, Aria works really hard while still making sure she has fun in the pool. She has done a great job at swim meets and continues to improve and develop her skills with every practice and competition. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and love for swimming make her a wonderful teammate and a joy to coach

As we wrap up an incredible season, the Claresholm Kraken Swim Club would like to extend a heartfelt thank‑you to everyone who made this year such a success.

Our wonderful sponsors played a huge role in helping our swimmers dive into the season with confidence. Because of your support, our athletes achieved remarkable results β€” countless best times, medals, and even Net Point Champion wins throughout the season. Your generosity truly helped make these accomplishments possible.

To all of the parents, swim moms, swim dads, and siblings who volunteered, cheered, time‑kept, organized, and supported β€” thank you for being the backbone of our club. Your dedication keeps our team strong.

A huge thank‑you to all of the officials who helped run swim meets this year. Your time, expertise, and commitment ensure our swimmers have fair, safe, and well‑run competitions. We appreciate you more than you know.

To our Region F representatives, thank you for the hard work you put in behind the scenes to support all of our clubs and keep things running smoothly. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful.

To our board members and coaches, thank you for your leadership, guidance, and unwavering support for our swimmers’ growth both in and out of the pool.

And to the Claresholm Aquatic Centre and its amazing lifeguard team, thank you for providing a safe, welcoming, and energetic home for our swimmers all season long.

Let's celebrate the July Swimmers of the Week!!

Emerson

This week, Emerson has earned Swimmer of the Week for her incredible growth, dedication, and positive attitude. She has shown great skill and confidence at competitions, and her hard work has truly paid off. Since the beginning of the season, Emerson has developed a new perspective on swimming and has embraced the sport with enthusiasm. She has grown to truly love being both a swimmer and a supportive teammate.

Emilia

Emilia has earned Swimmer of the Week for her amazing improvement, enthusiasm, and positive attitude. As one of our Mini Krakens, Emilia has grown so much this season and continues to impress with how much she has learned. She always comes to practice with a smile on her face and is excited to get in the water and give her best effort.

Ella

Ella has earned Swimmer of the Week for her incredible enthusiasm and dedication. As one of our Mini Krakens, Ella works hard every time she gets in the pool and is always eager to learn and improve. She loves swimming and is always excited for every chance she gets to be in the water.

Asher

Asher has earned Swimmer of the Week for his hard work, great attitude, and excellent improvement. As one of our Mini Krakens, Asher has developed many new skills throughout the season and has shown great progress in the pool. Although he only attended two swim meets, he did a fantastic job and gave his best effort. At practice, Asher is always listening, follows instructions, and is eager to do what is asked of him.

June Swimmers of the Week!!

Week 5
This week, Landry has earned Swimmer of the Week for her hard work, sportsmanship, and outstanding performances. Landry consistently gives her best effort at practice and is always willing to help and encourage her teammates. She has also been doing a great job at swim meets, showing the results of her dedication and commitment to the sport. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and support for others make her a valuable member of the team. Congratulations, Landry!

Week 6 Naydia
This week, Naydia has earned Swimmer of the Week for her outstanding focus, effort, and performance. Throughout the week, Naydia stayed focused during practice and consistently gave her all in everything she did. Her hard work and dedication have been showing in her performances at swim meets, where she continues to do a great job.

Week 7
This week, Ivy has earned Swimmer of the Week for her hard work, dedication, and incredible improvement throughout the season. Ivy has worked extremely hard and has developed her strokes so well, showing great progress and determination every time she got in the pool. Although she was only with the team for half the season, she made a lasting impact with her positive attitude and commitment to improving.

Week 8
This week, Allie has earned Swimmer of the Week for her hard work, focus, and dedication throughout the season. Allie has consistently put in the effort at practice and has remained focused on improving her skills. She has become an amazing swimmer and teammate to have around, always bringing a positive attitude to the pool. Her hard work has also shown at the swim meets she has attended.

πŸ™πŸ’™ WHAT A WEEKEND AT THE KRAKEN INVITATIONAL! πŸ’™πŸ™

This past weekend we proudly hosted the Claresholm Kraken Invitational Swim Meet, and what an incredible success it was. Our pool was buzzing with energy as over 240 swimmers dove into competition, pushed their limits, and celebrated countless personal bests.

A special shoutout to our Mini Kraken crew, who had their very first chance to race β€” they showed courage, heart, and true Kraken spirit.

We want to extend a huge thank‑you to all of our Region F clubs for joining us and making the meet such a vibrant, competitive, and fun event. And to our amazing volunteers β€” timers, officials, referees, hospitality crew, meet managers, organizers, coaches, and everyone who stepped up β€” this meet simply would not have been possible without your hard work. We are deeply grateful for each of you.

The Kraken community showed up in full force, and it truly made this event shine.

What an unforgettable weekend for the Claresholm Kraken Swim Club β€” our athletes showed up with heart, grit, and unstoppable momentum, earning us the Net Point Champion title once again at the Medicine Hat meet.

From massive personal best times to relay teams smashing their previous records, our swimmers lit up the pool. Ribbons, medals, and big smiles were everywhere, but the real highlight was the sheer determination and team spirit on deck.

This group continues to prove that Kraken pride isn’t just a slogan β€” it’s who we are. Every swimmer contributed. Every race mattered. Every effort pushed us forward.
