Mountain air. Wildflowers. The Bow River winding its way beneath the Three Sisters. ποΈπΌβ¨
The perfect summer Sunday to escape to Canmore, breathe a little deeper, wander a little slower, and remember just how lucky we are to have all of this beauty right in our backyard.
Some days are simply good for the soul. π

The mountains were calling. And honestly β I needed them. ποΈπΏ
The last few weeks in my world have been full. Beautifully, wonderfully, exhaustingly full.
Grad. Company. Adventures I will never forget. And then Stampede β because this is Alberta and of course Stampede. π€
By the time the weekend arrived I could feel it in my whole body. That particular kind of tired that isnβt really tired β itβs overstimulated. Overextended. A little bit done with people and noise and to-do lists and just needing to be somewhere quiet and green and big.
The mountains always know.
So I went. And I soaked up every second of it β sunshine on my face, trees all around, the kind of silence that actually fills you up instead of emptying you out. Forest bathing, they call it. I just call it coming home to myself.
Hereβs something Iβve learned from years of Pilates β and years of life β your body always tells you what it needs. The tight shoulders. The shallow breath. The restlessness that no amount of productivity will fix.
Sometimes the prescription isnβt another class or another commitment. Sometimes itβs a trail, a mountain, and a whole lot of fresh air.
I came back Sunday evening feeling like myself again. Recharged. Rooted. Ready.
This is why we move, friends. In the studio AND out of it. πΏβοΈποΈ
Hereβs a little peek at how I spent my weekend. π
How did YOU spend yours? Drop it in the comments β I genuinely want to know. βοΈ

Sometimes the best decision is to just keep driving. πβοΈ
We have never been.
You know that feeling β the list is long, the week was full, and turning around would have been so easy.
But we kept driving. And Alberta? She did not disappoint.
I am so lucky to call this place home. To have the Rockies in my backyard. To be able to play tourist in my own province and have it feel like the first time, every single time.
Banff and Lake Louise are favourites for a reason. But Moraine Lake β there are no words. There really arenβt. You just stand there and your whole nervous system goes quiet and you think: this is it. This is what itβs all about.
Getting outside, breathing mountain air, moving your body through spaces this beautiful β it is genuinely good for the soul. Not in a small way. In a big, full, grateful-to-be-alive kind of way.
This is what summer in Alberta looks like. And I would not trade it for anything. ποΈπΏβοΈ
If you havenβt made it to Moraine Lake yet this summer β go. Just keep driving. Trust me.
Happy Canada Day! π
Canada is a country of vast, wild, breathtaking contrast β and if you think about it, so is the classical Pilates system.
ποΈ The Rockies teach us extension β reaching long and tall, the way Swan and Rocking ask the spine to open skyward.
π The Pacific Coast teaches us flow β wave after wave of connected movement, just like the Reformerβs full-body exercises that never really end and begin, they just continue.
πΎ The Prairies teach us groundedness β wide, stable, supported from below. Your powerhouse, your feet in straps, your seat pressing into the mat. Rooted.
πΏ The Shield and the forests teach us resilience β deep, ancient, bending without breaking. Every spinal articulation we practice honours that same quality.
π
And the North? The North teaches us stillness. The breath before the movement. The pause that makes the next thing possible.
We are so proud to be a Canadian studio, teaching a global method in this extraordinarily beautiful country. Wherever you are celebrating today β from the mountains to the coast β we hope you feel it. π¨π¦
