🌱Resting is growing🌿
I have been sick the past week, and the recovery process has threw me off - just when I thought I was about to recover, the sickness symptoms just kicked back in and reminded me to slow down, go inward, and REST.
I had to cancelled my classes today (sorry for the last minute cancellation.) I felt bad for not being able to fulfill my commitments, yet it was a lesson for me to be responsible and make the right call to take care of myself, and other people - in this case, my students, the community.
Learning how to rest is part of the practice.
Tend to yourself as if you are tending to a germinating garden. It requires patience.
A reminder from my heart to yours.
Sending much love,
J

Last month, I came back to teaching aerial yoga , and it was really fun and rewarding being back on the mat, the hammock and back to the seat of a space holder.
My time retreating back to cultivating my own sadhana is much needed and nourishing, yet I learn, grow, and love so much about teaching too.
Stay tuned for my upcoming offerings😉

Some say, today is “International Yoga Day.”🧘🏻♀️
I say, how about we honor this day and its good cause, then use it to raise awareness of wellness, mindfulness, and the notion of “every day is worth celebrating.”

It hasn’t been easy for me to practice loving kindness on myself lately.
Primarily because all the obligations I’m taking on and expectations that I set for myself, and thinking that’s what other people expect from me.
The truth is, nobody ever would expect anything from you or could force you to fulfill any expectation unless you are the one who imposes that impression on yourself.
There are some affirmations that are close to my heart lately. I’d like to share that with you. Weave that into your practice if you think fit.
“I allow myself to be where I need to be. I breathe myself full again. I am worthy of love, especially from myself first.”
Sending much love,
Jo xo
