Toronto, done. The Whales 14U wrapped the NAPHL Showcases Thanksgiving Classic at 3-1-0 and brought six points home to Vancouver.
Friday morning started with a 5-1 loss to Stars Academy, a team playing a full age group up. The response came that same night: five different goal scorers in a 5-3 win over Salt Lake Effect, with Noah Cordick sealing it late.
Saturday was the tightest game of the weekend. Leung, Lo and Walker all scored from the blue line and Mantaj Mushiana gave up a single goal in a 4-1 win over Kingston Wranglers.
Sunday brought a curveball before the puck even dropped. With Connor Jensen sidelined by illness, Mushiana got the call on short notice for his third start in three days, and he delivered. The group trailed twice against Ironmen Hockey and came back both times. Carson Tompkins tied it, Anthony Toljanich scored the winner 49 seconds later, and Mushiana shut the door for his second win of the weekend. Get well soon, Connor.
13 goals for, 13 players on the scoresheet, eight goals from defencemen, and Aiden Guo leading the way with three points.
