When your child gets hurt on the field, your first instinct may be to run to them.
That reaction comes from love. But in that moment, staying calm and giving the coach space is often the best support you can offer.
Children read our reactions. When they see a calm, reassuring face on the sideline, they feel safer too.
Please wait for the coach’s signal before entering the field. If the situation is serious, we will involve you immediately.
Stay close. Stay calm. Let us care for them safely.

They don’t need a long list of instructions. They need to feel calm, trusted and capable.
Ask what they’re looking forward to.
Keep expectations simple.
Leave room for mistakes.
Let them choose what to focus on.
