ABOUT THE NAPHL 🏒

The North American Prep Hockey League (NAPHL) is an independent league with more than 15 years of experience in prep school hockey. Its goal is to offer prep programs the best competition and exposure to Canadian and U.S. junior programs, as well as U SPORTS and NCAA hockey opportunities.

The NAPHL provides a broader competition pool than local leagues, giving North American prep schools the chance to face a variety of opponents. At the end of each season, there is a championship for all participating prep schools. The league also organizes a series of showcase weekends, culminating in a championship event in March.

The Varsity Colts are proud members of the NAPHL, and look forward to competing in the following showcase events this season!

Stanton Antoine-Pyke, an 18-year-old forward from Cornwall, is returning to the Varsity Colts!

For the third season, the Cornwall Jr. Varsity Colts program continues to offer U18 AAA-level players an alternative development path. This option allows athletes to combine top-tier hockey training with a strong emphasis on academics and overall well-being, making it a better fit for many players.

The objective of our program is to help players progress to various levels of junior hockey, with the ultimate aim of reaching Junior A in the future. In our inaugural season, 10 players advanced to the next stage, with eight joining Ontario Junior teams across the CCHL, EOJHL, and NCJHL, while two players secured spots at US Prep schools.

Our program is based at the Civic Complex in Cornwall, the same facility as the Cornwall Jr. A Colts. We schedule late afternoon practices and most games on weekends to minimize travel and avoid late-night ice times. This approach helps our players balance their education with their hockey development.
