Round 8 of the Play’ Em All in PEI trip at Strathgartney Highlands Golf Course in Cornwall. This was a small 9 Hole course that was a very enjoyable walk, elevation change and a good mix of par 4s and Par 3s. Couldn’t have asked for a better day for it and as enjoyable as it was I think this course has a lot of potential to be even better!

Round 6 of the Play em all in PEI trip. Another amazing 18 hole facility in Cavendish. A challenging course with a great mix of difficulty and fun. This was the first round where the wind was blowing and it made for an even more enjoyable round.

Round 5 of the Play em all in PEI trip was a morning 18 with a special guest, Gord of Green Gables (my father) Typically I think this is amongst the top rated courses on the island but may not get the same love as some of the others but it definitely deserves more love than it gets. Besides the course being in excellent condition, Green Gables was a fun test of golf with some excellent par 3s and some fun and strategic par 4s.

Round 4 of the Play em All in PEI trip was I was in a bit of a haze during this 18 and was breaking round speed records. (Finished 18 in an hour and 56 minutes) Should have walked it because it would have been an easy enjoyable one. The greens were in great shape and if my game was anywhere close to where it should have been I think this would have been my low round of the trip. A nice course and one that would be an awesome midweek post workday walk.

I knew that on my journey to try and play every course in the country I would have a few unique experiences. French River was one of those. A small family run 18 hole facility trying to offer the people of their community with the opportunity to golf. In all honesty French River couldn’t have come at a better time for me, I was trying to figure out my golf game and this place allowed me to test and work it all out. Sort of, no course could help me. Also the loop of holes they had from 12 to 15 could be something that could be put in to practice at other golf facilities. Maybe not exactly the same way but I’m sure a few people smarter than me could use it as an example to save on space and build a multi hole property on a small piece of land. All in all another walk enjoyed!

Round 2 on the Play em all in PEI Trip was golf club. A scenic par 72 in Stanley Bridge with elevation changes throughout, tree lined fairways and an importance on good shot making. (Something I didn’t do) I think it suffered a bit through the winter unfortunately but it was still an excellent track and a fun walk!
