🏐 THE COUNTDOWN TO THE 2026–27 INDOOR SEASON IS ON!

A new season is just around the corner, and EKVC tryouts will run from August 30 through September 13 for our older age groups. It’s time to save the dates, start getting ready and look ahead to another exciting season of East Kootenay volleyball!

🔹 SUNDAY, AUGUST 30 — GIRLS

📍 Selkirk Secondary School
405 Halpin Street, Kimberley

• 16U Girls — athletes born in 2011
⏰ 9:00–11:30 a.m.

• 17U & 18U Girls — athletes born in 2009 or 2010
⏰ 12:30–3:00 p.m.

🔹 TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 — BOYS

• 16U, 17U & 18U Boys — athletes born from 2009–2011
⏰ Time and location to be announced

🔹 SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 — GIRLS

• 14U & 15U Girls — athletes born in 2012 or 2013
⏰ Time and location to be announced

🔹 SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 — BOYS

• 15U Boys — athletes born in 2012
⏰ Time and location to be announced

🔹 NOVEMBER TRYOUTS

Tryout dates will be announced in September for:

• 12U Boys & Girls
• 13U Boys & Girls
• 14U Boys

We'll share what's new for the upcoming season, where the club is investing, how we're continuing to strengthen the athlete experience, and what you can expect in the months ahead.

🏐 INTRODUCING EKVC OPEN GYM

EKVC athletes are invited to get back in the gym, reconnect with teammates and enjoy some informal, athlete-driven volleyball at College of the Rockies from July 28–30.

There is no cost for athletes who were registered with EKVC during the 2025–2026 indoor season, and athletes may attend any or all sessions.

Choose how you play—organize a game, pepper, serve or simply get some extra ball touches in a relaxed environment.

🏐 Go Team Kootenays!

This morning, the Kootenay Zone 1 Girls Volleyball Team boarded their bus and departed for Kelowna to compete against the best young athletes from across British Columbia at the 2026 BC Summer Games.

After weeks of hard work, training, and preparation, we're excited to cheer on this outstanding group as they represent the Kootenays with pride.
