We here at Forbidden Gravel. want to acknowledge and share our appreciation for Mosaic Forest Management. They are hosting our event on their managed forest lands, and we would like to request all of our participants to act responsibly during this time of heightened fire danger. Thanks to all of our partners for making this possible.

Including the word experience in the title of our event was intentional. This is not a road race or a fast gravel race. This is a route designed to bring a sense of adventure and accomplishment after a hard day with friends and like-minded people. This year is no exception. The Medio and Epic routes tackle some very steep and loose roads while circumnavigating the Beaufort mountains. The majority of the route is still very much rideable but do not be fooled by the distance. There will be suffering and you will be proud that you finished. Registration is open and prices go up $20 on June 8th. www.forbiddengravelexperience.com

Our good friend is at it once again. Last year he rode from Cape Scott to Victoria (with support) over the course of 4 days to raise money for cancer research. This year, in preparation for riding the Tour Divide route in August, he is going to leave Cape Scott tomorrow (June 24th) morning at 5am with a goal of making it to Victoria for Sunday brunch. He will be dragging along one of our own and doing it unsupported. You can follow the shenanigans and donate to the cause **kcancer
