Andie Weir is a passionate and versatile dance artist with 17 years of
experience, including a decade in competitive dance. Andie graduated from Illusion Dance Arts in 2023, and is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance at York University. Andie has trained and taught in
a wide range of styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern,
Lyrical, Acro, Musical Theatre, Tap, and Philippine Folk Dance.
Kerry Halpin is a dance artist based out of Halifax and Toronto who completed her BFA in Dance Choreography and Kinesiology at York University.
Kerry recently graduated with her MScOT at Dalhousie University and works
during the day as an Occupational Therapist. She is a CDTA Licentiate Member in Ballet and Modern and is well-versed in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern,
Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. Kerry is also an Acrobatic Arts Module 1 Certified Teacher.
Dawn Halpin is Co-Director of IDA, has taught dance since 1984, is a CDTA Licentiate Certified Teacher in Jazz and an Associate in Ballet, Tap, Modern, and Acro, ADAPT fully Certified Teacher in Dynamic Ballet, Jazz and Tap, Acrobatic Arts Module 2 Certified, with Alixa Flexibility and Progressing Ballet Technique training. Many of her dancers have pursued dance in their higher education at York, Concordia, School of Dance Ottawa, Toronto Dance Theatre, and TMU - including her two daughters - who both teach for IDA.
