Sam is no stranger to our race community, having been a Medavie Blue Nose Marathon Brand'er this past spring, and this fall she's joining our very first Valley Harvesters team 🍎

While running didn't always come naturally to her, she loves a good challenge. After taking on her first marathon last year, she discovered that with commitment and determination, you really can achieve anything you set your mind to. This fall, she'll be taking on the 10KM at the Valley Harvest Marathon.

Sam is passionate about building community, and taking you through her journey to the Valley Harvest marathon through her social media, and local run clubs. Her goal this time around? To enjoy the journey, make lasting memories, and celebrate everything that makes race weekend so special. πŸ‚

Here's something to celebrate this Tuesday🎢

We're excited to welcome Debut Atlantic as a charity partner for the very first time!

Through their Debut Goes to School program, professional classical and global music artists visit schools across Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada, completely free for the schools ✨

For many students, these performances are their first, and sometimes only opportunity to experience live professional music. With recent budget cuts to arts and education, your support is more important than ever to help keep these inspiring experiences accessible for the next generation. 🎻

Every kilometer and every donation you make helps bring the power of live music into classrooms across Atlantic Canada πŸ’›

Meet πŸ‘‹

Rachelle is joining our very first Valley Harvesters team this fall, and we're so excited to have her as part of the team🍎

A speech-language pathologist by day, Rachelle first started running as a way to build community after moving to Halifax. Valley Harvest holds a special place in her heart, as it was the very first race she ever completed, and the same race where she had the opportunity to pace her sister in her very first event. This fall, she'll be back to make even more unforgettable memories.

Passionate about encouraging others to give running a try, Rachelle loves sharing her journey through social media, local run clubs, and community events. Whether she's joining the Bagel Run at Aerobics First or cheering on new participants, she hopes to inspire others to take that first step toward goals they never thought possible and discover the incredible running community we have here in Nova Scotia. πŸ‚

Over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing the rest of our Valley Harvesters team πŸƒ
