COACHING CANADA 🇨🇦

Huge congrats to New Glasgow's Kori Cheverie who has been named head coach of Canada's National Women's Team. 🍁

Fresh off a Walter Cup championship with the Montréal Victoire, Cheverie will lead Canada into the 2026 IIHF Women's World Championship this fall in Denmark.

Before making history in the PWHL, Cheverie was part of the Hockey Nova Scotia family as our High Performance Female Coach, and in 2023 she guided Team Nova Scotia to a silver medal at the Canada Winter Games.

Cheverie takes over the role from fellow Bluenoser Troy Ryan, who stepped away last spring after leading Canada to Olympic gold in 2022 and three world championships.

All the best, Kori! We couldn't be prouder.
