The Summer Clash didn’t go as planned for the Butcher brothers.

Cole kicked off the night with a heat race win, earning the 3rd starting spot for the feature. With the front two starters electing not to take the Pole Challenge, Cole stepped up and chose to start from the rear for a shot at the challenge.

Unfortunately, both Cole and Jarrett were involved in an on-track incident at the start of the race that ultimately ended both of their nights early. Cole attempted to continue, but damage sustained in the opening incident eventually forced him to retire from the race.

Due to weather, The Summer Clash 250 presented by Superior Foundations and Atlantic Tiltload has been postponed until tomorrow, Sunday, August 9th at Scotia Speedworld.

Here’s the updated Sunday schedule:

Pit Gates Open: 11:00 AM
Grandstands Open: 12:00 PM
Racing Begins: 2:00 PM

Now it’s time to shift our focus to The Summer Clash 250 - Presented by Atlantic Tiltload ltd. & Superior Foundations on August 8 at Scotia Speedworld!

We’re back in action tonight at Oyster Bed Speedway for another round of P.E.I. Pro Stock Summer Thunder as Jarrett Butcher and the No. 54 team take on the BJ’s Truck Centre Charlottetown 150 with the Fort Garry Industries Maritime Pro Stock Tour.

Today’s Schedule:
• Gates Open: 12:30 PM
• Practice: 2:00 PM – 4:50 PM
• Racing Begins: 6:00 PM

It was great having the boys back together at Riverside International Speedway this week.

A huge thank you to Riverside for putting on another incredible IWK weekend. We always look forward to making the trip and can’t wait to be back next year.

Cole brought home a strong second-place finish in the Dash 4 Cash, and while Jarrett’s weekend ended with a hard crash, we’re incredibly grateful he’s okay and doing well.

Cole is back at Riverside International Speedway tonight for the IWK 250 Dash 4 Cash before heading back to the U.S. tomorrow to prepare for Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race with ThorSport Racing at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
